Wolfgang Storm drinks with Ignan Storm and Johann Storm at the Leaky Cauldron ahead of the Tetrawizard Tournament. During the conversation, Wolfgang Storm implies that Hannah Bombay is a suitable girlfriend for Johann Storm who does not deny that they are a couple, though Ignan Storm understands that they are just friends. Wolfgang suspects Johann may be homosexual, and would prefer he married a witch. At this point Hannah is not associated with werewolves.

Following recent media coverage exposing her as a werewolf, Wolfgang Storm engages in verbal abuse of Hannah Bombay while they are both in Gringotts. Eventually, though off page, Johann Storm arrives to drag his father away, mortified.

In returning a favour (or perhaps several), Johann Storm attends Christmas dinner as Hannah Bombay's 'boyfriend' at her parents' house on Christmas Day in Bewdley, Worcestershire. Hannah's mother, Cynthia Bombay gets the wrong end of the stick about almost everything, muddling the situation for Johann who believes he needs to play up the role of boyfriend to the point he proposes to Hannah before her parents at lunch. Cynthia is overjoyed, and Hannah and Johann make a swift exit.

Back in Germany for the funeral of Merik Storm, Johann Storm takes dinner with his parents Camille Storm and Wolfgang Storm as it coincides with Wolfgang's birthday. Father and son bicker, Wolfgang voices his disdain at Johann's supposed relationship with Hannah Bombay since she is a werewolf, amongst other recent events. Johann's parents are unaware of his proposal on Christmas Day.

A drunk Johann tries to write to his flatmate and other best friend Colin Downer who he realises seemed to consider Johann unhinged to ask Hannah to marry him. Though Colin and Hannah dislike each other. The letter is never sent, as Johann burns it.

Johann Storm buys a copy of the Daily Prophet in the Ministry Atrium on the way to work, and the seller gives him a free copy as a souvenir.

In Frankfurt, Germany, Johann's mother, Camille Storm is brought a copy of the Daily Prophet by her colleague at Chrysopoeia bank. In alarm, she makes the trip to Britain by floo, which makes her feel unwell. Meanwhile, Johann's father Wolfgang Storm has already read the paper and is outraged. He organises a 'special' present for the couple and has it immediately despatched to the Ministry for Johann to collect.

Collecting the parcel from the atrium, Johann is reunited with his mother, Camille. The two travel to Hannah Bombay's flat, with the parcel. Camille gives Johann and Hannah a family engagement ring for Hannah to wear. The parcel is opened and revealed to contain a dead dog's head rather than steaks. Camille recognises the handwriting as Wolfgang's secretary's. The three plan to tackle Johann's father in person.

(German time) Hannah Bombay, Camille Storm and Johann Storm arrive at the home of Wolfgang Storm to 'thank' him for the gift. Hannah decides to play on her mother's false claim that Hannah is pregnant, just to enrage Wolfgang further. An argument ensues and Hannah launches herself at Wolfgang, tearing at his face. Johann wrestles her away. The two eventually leave, though Wolfgang claims Johann is disowned as his son for associating with a werewolf, and planning to marry her.

Exhausted, Hannah and Johann return to Hannah's flat. Disturbed by her violent outburst, Hannah asks Johann to stay in the flat while she goes back to bed rather than to work. Johann ends up sleeping on the other side of her bed after taking sleeping potion, much to Hannah's anguish. She fells incredibly guilty and gives Johann back the engagement ring. He declines and tells her to keep it. There is an initial panic over whether Wolfgang will report the fight, or if Hannah has left her wand there, but neither turn out to be true.

Colleagues and friends, Aisling and Johann take lunch together near to the Ministry. Aisling offers some advice about marrying someone your family disapproves of, from her own experiences marrying Tarron Knight.

Visiting Darian Morgan to fit Ignan Storm with some suits, Ignan implies to Darian that Johann will be in the market for some wedding attire very soon.

Using his expert banking knowledge, and hair left from the fight on January 6th, Wolfgang Storm poses as Hannah Bombay at Gringotts and sends her limited remaining funds abroad in a fraud.

Cynthia insists Hannah tries on her old wedding dress at Hannah's flat. Johann calls round to ask Hannah for advice on taking Ophelia Grimlish out on a date that she bought with him on New Years Eve at the St Mungo's Auction. When Cynthia realises he is there, she attempts to obliviate Johann because he has seen Hannah in a wedding dress which is bad luck. Cynthia drags Johann into Hannah's bedroom, a scuffle ensues as Johann's greatest fear is obliviation, and Cynthia ends up sporting a pig's snout for her face. It's not all bad news as Hannah explains she has been promoted at work.

A month and a half since being discharged, Johann begrudgingly attends an appointment with Arcturus to follow up on his progress. He is evasive, and Arc's examination of Johann's blood reveals he is back on sleeping potion. The Healer confronts his patient, who confesses. Arcturus poses a different form of more regular support rather than report him.

Elixa Mordent offers her congratulations to Hannah Bombay at work, hoping to make a new friend. Hannah is her usual blunt self, and informs Elixa that she is not engaged to Johann. Elixa retreats wisely.

Investigations by the German Ministry into Chrysopoeia put great stress on Wolfgang Storm. The parents are still not talking to Johann Storm.

Hannah Bombay is pretty sure she knows who has taken her money back in January. She uses polyjuice potion to appear as Wolfgang Storm, nude, and antagonises Camille Storm and Wolfgang Storm in their home in Germany. As she escapes, she streaks purposefully through the German Ministry of Magic, coverage of which is in papers, and contributes to Wolfgang Storm eventually losing his job.

Now house-sitting for Ignan Storm in Godric's Hollow, the cousins take a walk in the Spring air, and Johann Storm explains a little more about Annie and Joey and that he is in a new relationship, though does not disclose who Arcturus Hollingbury is.

Evicted from their home, and made redundant from their jobs, Wolfgang Storm and Camille Storm turn up on Ignan Storm's doorstep in Godric's Hollow before the end of term, to find Johann Storm and Gerda the house elf are the only people home. They impose themselves as guests and explain their situation, trying to forget the events of the last 6 or so months that drove them apart. Johann is unconvinced and makes himself scarce at the earliest opportunity.

Managing to maintain their friendship, Hannah Bombay and Johann Storm swap stories over drinks in the Leaky Cauldron after work, and Johann explains that Camille Storm and Wolfgang Storm are in the country after some trouble. He is oblivious to the fact Hannah had a part to play in the incidents.

Still houseguests with Ignan Storm, Wolfgang Storm tries to explain to Ignan that they will be leaving as soon as they are on their feet. Ignan is less accommodating, and tells Wolfgang that Johann Storm has explained much of the events over the months, and he wants them out.

Owing to a long-running feud between Wolfgang Storm and Hannah Bombay, Wolfgang arranges for the capture of Hannah for use in the full moon fight of July 26 2010. He keeps her in a cage at the venue before her transformation and visits her to goad her.

The tenth fight begins at the disused swimming baths in Birmingham, organised by Wolfgang Storm. When Lawrence Musgrave finds out that he wolf is his niece, Hannah Bombay, he curses Wolfgang, saving the Muggle from death but allowing Hannah in wolf form to bite and attack Wolfgang before she can be stopped. Lawrence stages an auror raid to get people to leave rapidly. The Ministry record a spike in magical activity, but do not investigate it immediately. Johann and Wolfgang leave almost immediately. After removing the Muggles, searching the building and sending an owl to Edwin Glass, Lawrence rescues Hannah from the cage in her human form and they escape.

Returning home prematurely from a night out on hearing about the incident Johann Storm finds Hannah Bombay on his doorstep at House of Atreus. She has come straight from the scene with Ira Almasy and Lawrence Musgrave

Camille surprises a lonely Hannah on Christmas Day, worried regarding recent reported White Christmas plots. A few days before she and Johann deposited a significant amount into Hannah's vault from Wolfgang's offshore accounts in compensation.

Months after the events of the Leaky Cauldron, the full moon werewolf fights, Wolfgang Storm's death, Hannah Bombay's daring plan to die with Lawrence Musgrave's help and Ira Almasy's death, two friends are reunited over breakfast.
