Most notable for his employment as Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor for Hogwarts from Autumn 2008 and Deputy Headmaster from September 2009. Professor Storm previously taught at Durmstrang, and was employed by the German Ministry for Magic in a role similar to an Auror, posted in the Black Forest and for a short stint attached to the British Ministry.

1940s

In 1944 Ignan is born to Merik Storm and Amelia Murray in Hanover, Germany. Merik is the Deputy Headmaster of Durmstrang. The following year, his sister, Imelda Kollontai is born.

1950s

In 1952, Ignan is 8, and his father is promoted to become the headmaster. The family spend increasing amounts of time at the school. 3 years later, in 1955 Ignan is old enough to attend and becomes an oberteil, and his sister does the same the following year.

1960s

Ignan's father attempts to train Ignan in Occlumency and Legilimency, but his methods and the fact it is his father makes this incredibly difficult. In 1962, aged 18, Ignan graduates from Durmstrang with very respectable grades - he worked hard, and it was expected of him.

He begins training as an auror with the German Ministry immediately, achieving occlumency training with a tutor unrelated to him. He continues to refine this work for the rest of his years.

At home, his mother is now without both of her children and becomes increasingly depressed. In 1965, following a fierce argument with her husband, she falls from a tower at Durmstrang. It is ruled a suicide, though Ignan has always been suspicious.

In 1966, aged 22, Ignan is posted to the Black Forest to deal with rogue wizards. He begins to keep a diary of his time there, documenting the dark magic he comes into contact with, including grisly deaths of his colleagues.

1970s

Voldemort rises to power in the UK, Ignan is very well occupied in the Black Forest with his supporters. With his experience fresh in his mind, in 1975, aged 31, he is sent over to the UK to assist with British Ministry. Two years later, 1977, disenchanted with what he is fighting against, he resigns and packs his bags. He meets Georg Kirchlehner in Moscow and they set out together.

1980s

In 1981, when Voldemort disappears, presumed defeated at Godric's Hollow, Ignan is very much away from things. In 1983, aged 39, he and Georg visit Britain to celebrate Gabrielle Murray's graduation from Hogwarts. The two continue to travel and occasionally visit, though in 1985 it is for the funeral of his maternal grandfather.

During this decade, Ignan begins to seek financial income using the skills he refined as an auror. Unfortunately this is not always for positive ends. By 1986, killing the undesirables, the irritations and the difficult for aurors and those with enough money becomes a semi-stable income. By 1987, Georg can tolerate it no more, they fight and part company. Ignan does not expect to see him again, nor does he change his ways.

In 1988, aged 44, Ignan spends three weeks hunting an animagus in Verkhoyansk

1990s

In 1990, Ignan arrives in Italy, quickly becomes deeply involved in Dark magic, though makes regular trips out of the country, one of which in 1992 sees him taken in for a night by the mother of Sasha Schlagenweit, unwittingly becoming a father. However in 1994, age 50, is when he finally falls in love, with Azorma Hyskos. Together they carry out a series of crimes, including the murder of three wizards in 1997. When caught, he escapes imprisonment by informing, and has his memory altered. He is banished from Italy, and believes Azorma is dead. He briefly travels back to Britain, though does not stay long, leaving before Voldemort is defeated in 1998.

By 1999, he returns home to his father, and attempts to find stable, respectable work. The German Ministry decline his applications. Ignan spends two years at rock bottom, living with his father, until he intervenes, using his influence to have Ignan teach at Durmstrang.

2000s

in 2001, at 57, Ignan joins Durmstrang as a Spellworks professor. From being reluctant at first, by the end of the year he accepts teaching is possibly the vocation he missed. In the following years he gradually teaches more students and takes on individual students to tutor in more advanced subjects. His reputation amongst the staff is not good, and he is resented.

When a post becomes available at Hogwarts by November of 2008 he seizes the opportunity. At Hogwarts his reputation is entirely different, and his end of year results across the board are impressive.

During the summer of 2009, at 65, Ignan becomes Deputy Head of Hogwarts, supporting Herschel Reid and then Minerva McGonagall. He cannot traditionally be considered for a Head of House or Headmaster as he did not attend Hogwarts.

In October 2009, Ignan is faced by Sasha Schlagenweit who proves he is Ignan's son.

2010s

In December 2010, Ignan marries Miranda Elliot in Norway.
