Appearance: (Play-by: Anna Chancellor) Graceful, considered beautiful and mild-mannered with an attractive voice. She keeps an even keel in the household, and is an assertive lady, previously a manager of goblins. Johann's more appealing qualities were inherited from her. Slight frame, pale skin, dark hair. Often remarked as ageing well.
Short Bio: Half-blood. Grew up in Belgium part of the Duerr family, which extends into French relations. Attended Beauxbatons September 1963 graduating in 1970.
She has an older brother, Martijn Duerr (Beauxbatons graduate 1968) who married Margo Duerr (nee Rosier - though unclear if related to other Rosiers) and five children, Alix Duerr, Noelie Duerr, Sandrine Duerr, Yanis Duerr and Sylvie Duerr.
Camille also has a younger sister, Florine Bayard (nee Duerr) (Beauxbatons graduate 1972) who married Thomas Bayard to give children Ondine Bayard and Perle Bayard.
Wolfgang Storm and Camille met while managing the goblins (a role neither of them carry out now). They both had former partners without settling or down or children, and when Johann Storm was born, Camille decided wisely he was probably enough for them both.
Both parents were keen to develop their son's non magical talents, and spent hours teaching him mathematics, geography, languages, and history, which put him in good stead for when he finally did attend Durmstrang.
Camille is very fond of her son, and shares a deeply romantic relationship with Wolfgang. She considers family very important. When Johann got into trouble, and was later admitted to St Mungo's hospital in 2009, she was often beside herself with worry, writing letters to other family members like Ignan Storm.
"Yes, and I'm not your family's messenger, would you mind reminding them of that?" Ignan replied grumpily, having received an owl from Johann's mother, Camille only the other day. "Perhaps if you replied to your own messages, you'd hear what was going on." Flicking his wand irritatedly, he summoned a curl of parchment, which unsettled a couple of books which banged onto the desk across the room. It almost adhered itself to Johann's face with malicious purpose.
It worried Camille horribly, and Ignan had yet again found himself sympathising with a family member and parent over their son, expecting Ignan to keep some sort of tab on them. Vasily, yes, he accepted it might help, but Johann was a law unto himself and perfectly capable of getting out of his own mess.
Wolfgang had elaborated further in a letter of his own, that in the days after Johann had left, their son’s abode (which Johann had rented from another family member) had been torn apart by intruders searching, though they had no way of telling if anything had been taken, just a lot of mess. Apparently Johann had been more concerned by owl that his books were still there and the place hadn’t gone up in flames. That sounded somewhat like the Johann sat beside him.
Nimble with her fingers, Camille is known to wrap Christmas presents and parcels with exquisite care. She dislikes travelling by floo as it makes her feel nauseous.
Before becoming a full character, she was seen a few times IC - following Merik Storm's funeral in December 2009 and the following day during an argumentative dinner to celebrate Wolfgang Storm's birthday, also in December 2009. Then again in January 2010
2010 is an awful year for Camille, she loses her job at the bank along with her husband, they lose their house and end up in Britain, staying in a one room place in Knockturn while they seek work. Wolfgang is bitten and becomes a werewolf, and Camille desperately appeals to Hogwarts for a stable employer to help her situation. In September 2010, Wolfgang passes away, poisoned.
