I'm pretty much open to writing anything within the site restrictions. I appreciate both the craft of plotting and the act of writing, as a Creative Writing Major during my college years.

Writing Outside My Life: I write several characters of different genders, races, ethnicity, sexuality, abilities and backgrounds outside of my own, being a white cis male from the Midwest US. I put a lot of research into the various facets of my characters for verisimilitude before I twist their quirks for the fiction of the setting. Or completely fictitious creations, like expanding upon merfolk society. I started doing this long before JKR's personal viewpoints tarnished the reputation of the series. Consuming fiction about other lifestyles and cultures is my favorite way to learn about the world and I hope my cast reflects that. My characters embody or could represent various matters; if anything reads in poor taste, let me know so I can course correct.

Genres: This is a fantasy/Potterverse site, of course, so that's high on the list. I also like mysteries & thrillers, deep psychological studies and horror. As tempered with cozy fiction and comedy. Along with slice of life, or what passes for it with characters involved with a hidden magical world within our own. Romance is not my strong suit but I've been looking to improve upon that.

Improv: I have an improv/acting background and the spontaneity of roleplay is one of my favorite elements. Some of my favorite plots have been emergent from events within a random thread. If I'm pitching ideas on one of your plot discussions, know I'm throwing out several to see what sticks. I have no qualms if little or none get used. I have such variety of characters I can figure out a way to get just about any of them involved, although I usually start with the more obvious connections.

Plotting: I do also enjoy a well crafted plot. Directness is key for me know what is required for a heavily scripted series of events. Occasionally I'll post a very specific type of plot I want to see happen and in those cases I'm hoping to move from discussion to threading more quickly than usual.

Supporting Roles: Whether I have shy or showboating type characters, I'm not looking to hog the attention. One of the reasons I built up so many posts with them is from getting involved with other people's ideas. As an author I'll add them to a scene to fit the needs of a narrative regardless of their personal motivations or attitudes. My goal is to put the spotlight on the other writer(s).

Continuity & World-building: My characters evolve over time. I also really like looking into the weeds of the setting, scouring the lexicon for ideas, and adapting references from semi-canon or unrelated media. Especially in the fan-fic tradition of eliminating or improving the more problematic elements from JKR's work.
That being said, continuity can be hard to pull off on an RPG site as players come and go. I certainly have a big gap of years between my times here! Sometimes retcons become necessary, although my preference is to re-conextualize as much of an old topic or forgotten thread when adapting it for the new needs of a plot. If anything I've just written needs to be changed, let me know ASAP if you need edits before your reply, or the story drops off the site calendar.

Although completing the favor for Martin, Greg uses the claim of inquiring about Knareswick courses. Casey harbors some ill effects from last night's Gala and a morning demonstration when Greg meets him.

Tayanna is revealed to have used Philo's predilections as an unwitting thrall to lure in hefty prey she desires for their greater blood volume.
