Silas Carstairs is a jack of all trades. He has spent most of his life and career on Level Five coasting off his charm as well as the generally respected reputation of his family name.
His personal wealth consists of his parents' combined inheritence. There is much speculation about who this forever-bachelor has named in his own will. He is close to his cousin Angela Carstairs although they rarely see one another.
Liason Role
The reality of Silas' work is that he keeps an eye on shady dealings between CAWW and Britain. He is often found at parties, conferences, embassy events and gambling rooms. His reputation as a typical rich layabout covers for an observant personality.
Silas is often consulted by the British ambassador to CAWW but personally reports back to DIMC Headquarters. Only a select few are aware of his true work. He splits his time between London and New York.
To Americans he is a man who knows enough to put you in touch with all the right people but not enough to be genuinely dangerous. To his own people on Five, Silas is a grade-A gossip who never says no to a good bet.
In addition to English Silas speaks fluent Spanish and French, passable Russian, and enough Mandarin to know he's being talked about. He is an advanced Occlumens due to the nature of his work.
