Virgil Carstairs is a clever Unspeakable Trainee, known for his acerbic wit and indolent ways. He has a gift for knowing just how to annoy people, and takes full advantage of it wherever convenient. He has a great interest in the unknown. As Virgil's father is a well-known playwright and performer, he is similarly fond of the arts. He has a knack for all things musical - especially string instruments - and is a dab hand at putting on make-up. He participates in performances at the Stardust Theatre every summer.
Abilities
Virgil is a gifted and very sensitive Legilimens/Occlumens: an ability that often manifests itself when he is asleep, and wanders the dreams of other people in his vicinity. He calls this ability Dreamwalking and it is a form of Dream magic also known as Somnilency. Due to his sensitivity, he often has to make an effort not to eavesdrop on thoughts. He was taught to control his Legilimency chiefly by Yavin Morgenthau a well-known master Legilimens. Virgil is also a proven Seer.
