Adelaide is Virgil Carstairs' older (and only) sister. She is of a serious, straightforward mindset and is considered by many to be a morally upright witch. When Virgil had been taken advantage of by his first Leglimency tutor (now dead) as a child, Adelaide had been the first to notice - she loves her little brothers very much and, being of no mean intellect, has a biting temper. Adelaide has an especially soft spot for Virgil because she believes he has had to endure a lot of trauma since childhood. Unlike Virgil, she is of a strong physical constitution. Up until his OWLs, Virgil and Adelaide were uncannily close. He has since outgrown this codependency, to the confusion of his parents. Adelaide herself has been very understanding.
Adelaide works as a junior defence attorney for a private law firm. She has chosen to train and specialise in family law. Recommended PB is Brit Marling.
