Club description 
Duelling Club was founded in 1992 by Gilderoy Lockhart. Although it was discontinued in 1993, it returned in 1996 and has run since then. It aims to help students improve their duelling skills, and is usually run by a club president chosen from the student body, although occasionally teachers run or assist in meetings.

Due to the nature of club activities it is essential that there are a number of rules in place to ensure that the members are able to pursue their activities without interference from any quarter. All members are expected to follow club rules. If you require clarification about a rule, or have other questions, do not hesitate to ask me.

Registration

1. Registration: Any individual interested in joining duelling club, from any school, is required to sign up by registering their name and school, as well as their desired ability category, with the president.

2. Ability Categories: There are three ability categories, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Entrants are free to choose their own ability category, the only limitation is that students taking a NEWT in Charms, Transfiguration, or Defence Against the Dark Arts cannot sign up as beginners.

((OOC: When choosing an ability category, choose it in accordance with your character's opinion of their abilities, not their actual abilities. Sign up is IC.))

3. Changing Groups: As President of Duelling Club, I reserve the right to change the group in which a member is placed if I so see fit.
