| Summary: | Morgan escorts Casey to his first ever wand pairing, following the events of the 13th. Casey labors under his allergic reaction to Floo Powder. Surprisingly, the two converse freely away from Hogwarts when accounting for Casey's deception about the O'Doherty wand. Just when it appears Casey might be more receptive of Morgan's advice, it takes a considerably lengthy time to match Casey with a wand. They both scoff at Ollivander's last suggestion, Pear & Phoenix Feather, until it leaps out of the box into Casey's hand, demanding spells from him. Casey briefly ascribes it sapience as it is attuned to Hexy's persona. | ||
| Quote: | Finally Landis noticed Casey's unusual silence and gave the boy a somewhat bemused look. Casey had yet to look up from his new wand, and something about his stare was odd. It was not the adoring look of a boy with his first new wand, which Landis hadn't expected from the unexcitable young Slytherin anyways, but it was wide-eyed and too intent.
"O'Doherty," he repeated patiently, though what he would have said after that was unclear - a coin purse shot out of Casey's robe pocket like a bat out of hell and exploded on Ollivander's counter, coins stacking themselves with an overquick zeal. Landis blinked. Perhaps O'Doherty was more excited about it than he thought. "Are you quite all right?" he asked sharply, though it was clearly less a genuine concern for his adolescent charge and more a gently-worded are we done here or possibly, what is wrong with you. | ||
