He hasn’t hexed me or anything like that…

Fenny made an attempt to express thanks to Harper for this confirmation, his hands still hanging in the air. The second part of her sentence didn’t help much but he’d forgive her given their whole incredibly awkward situation that evening. She hadn’t thrown him under the knight bus. More of a glancing blow. No, the Minister had thrown him under first.

Drop the wand, hands up.” Roh wasn’t budging.

Stump took a deep breath, eyes momentarily closing as he tried to keep his calm. Very slowly he reached for his wand and tossed it onto one of Harper’s chairs before returning his hands to their position before him and turning slowly on the spot. Once with his back to them both he assumed the position, hands clasped in the small of his back and waited for the spell to take hold of his arms and gave a sidelong glance to Graves. I can’t see how else he found out about the memories she’d said. So they did exist. Oh fu…

Thank Merlin he’d told Clea he’d be back late… his wife was going to be distraught when she heard Roh had taken him in.

Thank Merlin. Harper really did not feel like cleaning up after a duel in her own living room - and poor George would never forgive her for stressing him out so much.

"Do you need me to come in with you?" she asked Roh, not sure if it was safe for her to stay on here for the night now that the ball was rolling on Glass.

Zora held her wand steady until she was absolutely sure Stump was going to, as they say, come quietly. Then she came up, cast the binding charm on his wrists behind him, and answered Harper.

"You might as well. You'll be called in anyway," she said.

Stump didn't need shoving or hauling about, Zora knew, so she simply laid a hand on his shoulder. She recited his rights for him. It'd be up to the lawyers to determine if all his blabbing a minute ago would count for anything. At least they had the well-respected Harper there to corroborate what would be Zora's statement.

Before she Apparated away with Stump, she turned to Harper again. Zora wasn't sure what to say to her, so she settled with a nod.

"Ready, Fen?" she asked. At an affirmative, she cracked them both away.
