A graceful but rigid, mirthless witch of lofty standards, Frau Pech is hard to please. She does not get along with Jillian Cripslock at all, engaging in cutting exchanges with the other witch frequently.
She answers directly to Idara Ferrari.
Beauxbatons
Though not especially cunning or intellectual, Eileen nevertheless strove to excel in all her subjects, and did particularly well in Transfiguration and Charms. Dance and deportment, however, has always been her passion, believing grace and etiquette to be the true mark of humanity.
Her peers were not very fond of her, but when it came to her wandwork and work ethic there was little to criticize.
Duties
As a governess of the Whitman-Ferrari household, Frau Pech's responsibilities are largely entrenched in education. It is her job to ensure that the children know their maths, letters, and history, as well as the skills and manners that befit their class and surname. On top of basic arithmetic, grammar, history, and magical theory, she teaches them dancing, literature, music, and etiquette as well. It is very important to her that they are well-rounded.
Naturally she despairs over Madeleine Whitman's "hoyden" attitude but persists, believing that as a member of a dying generation it is her duty to "save" Maddie—but also because she was once Theo Whitman's governess. Although she would never admit it, her shift in duties was a profound relief.
