Vincent Van Goat is a named goat from the Spirit Division's official herd of goats for magical uses. Often the goats aren't named because they are used for sacrificial magics. Sometimes they're named because they become hosts for magical creatures. Vinnie van Goatie, a strong male specimen of the species, was chosen by Jules Abbott himself to store St. Mungo's ghoul (See Plot: Over My Dead Body)
Life
The life of a goat is not an interesting one. Vinnie was born on the Ministries farm and has lived with the same group of blokes for many years. He likes the pastures, likes rutting with the other males to show who is boss and getting snackie snacks. His days don't vary much, and he likes it that way.
Naming day
Vinnie was sure that his days were numbered because goats of his vitality have the perfect blood for blood scrying. Sometimes their innards are used for scrying, too! Goats often disappear from the herd if they aren't part of the breeding stock, and extra males in the herd are prioritized for those kinds of tasks.
He doesn't know why Jules Abbott chose him, but it means that he will get his own group of girlfriends and make babies kids. So really, whatever arbitrary rules were used means Vincent will live out his life with a group of pretty ladies.
