Lolmis is Ursula Strougler's pet rat, purchased shortly before she started school at Hogwarts. He is a variegated mixed breed rat with bareback coloration and an unusual 'lightning bolt scar' fur marking on his head.
Ursula adapted his name from Lolmischo or the "Red Mouse;" one of several disease spreading demons called the Children of Ana in Romani mythology. Lolmis is nothing like his namesake, which would be a hairless boil covered rodent that spreads skin rashes on contact. Instead he is very cuddly and friendly, often seen socializing with the other castle rats.
