Beard Lichen can be yellow or greenish with long stems, resembling a tangled mass of threads. It is eaten by wild animals. Shakespeare referred to it as ‘idle moss’
It is used in remedies for:
- whooping cough
- catarrh
- epilepsy
- dropsy
