Waning Gibbous, 0.52, LeoYesterday evening (Monday 9th January, 2012) there was a co-ordinated attack against the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
The Werewolf Wing has confirmed a Ministry werewolf transformation safehouse in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, was compromised. Two attendants are recovering from injuries in St Mungo’s. They are expected to make a full recovery and their injuries are not werewolf-inflicted. The Werewolf Capture Unit are in pursuit of two wizards unaccounted for following a search. All other attendees are assisting the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with their investigations.
Head of the Department, Alexander Carter, was discovered dead at his London home this morning. The Department of Magical Law and the Werewolf Wing confirm the cause of death to be from a direwolf attack. Operatives remain at the scene. Mr Carter’s next of kin has been informed. The Ministry is supporting the family and we express our condolences.
A joint investigation has immediately launched into the events of the night of Monday 9th January and the early hours of Tuesday 10th January.
