Reply #75 on July 19, 2010, 09:52:49 AM Peyton had paused slightly in mid air high above the pitch. He was looking around for the snitch hoping to catch sight of it before the Gryffindor seeker did. However his grey blue eyes got caught on the sight of his Care of Magical Creatures mid term partner Bellatrix Dark. It was hard to tell from this distance but he was pretty sure he could see a lump in the girls robes which would indicate she was actually taking care of the egg rather than leaving it in her dorm. A soft smile crossed his lips before he realized who she was sitting with. His stomach gave an uncomfortable lurch as he recognized the beefy outline of Xavier Tawse. He hated him with every fibre of his being and couldn't understand why someone like Bella was interested in someone like Tawse. Women were way too complicated. Peyton didn't think he'd ever be able to figure them out and speaking of women . . .Peyton's eyes quickly flipped to the otherside of the pitch trying to track down where Eddy had made off too, "Ah shiii," He grumbled to himself as he realized the sudden change in the opposing seeker's direction meant she had spotted the snitch. Peyton flatten himself against his broom and dove quickly through the crowd of players having no qualms about heading straight for Carter. If it meant he could catch the snitch before Eddy did then he'd definitely risk colliding with the bigger Keeper to do so.He weaved around the players doing his best to not smash into anyone and completely ignored the debacle with Bea and one of the smaller Gryffindor Chasers. Between the quaffle, bludgers, and the snitch, it was a hectic experience. Several members were hit by a bludger, and Edward had been temporarily knocked to the ground. It was certainly chaotic at the game, and made for interesting entertainment for the fans. Once Adrienna acquired the quaffle, Megan kept herself a distance away, but still at a relatively close enough distance to keep the opposing team at bay. She glanced at Silversmith as he shouted a completely obvious, and stupid, statement out in the open. Ignoring it, she flew a distance away from Silversmith as Adrienna shot the quaffle to the hoops. Just in case it didn't go in, she wanted to be relatively close to help Adrienna or Blake with reacquiring the quaffle. But, the course of action turned worse by the instant. Josh hit a bludger towards where Adrienna was, and it hit Silversmith instead. Bea saved Adrienna from getting hit, but Bea was knocked off her broom, along with Silversmith. Reply #78 on July 20, 2010, 04:50:03 PM The young Gryffindor tried to cast some sort of spell and they slowed down, slightly. Beatrix remembered hearing of it before but never actually tried it herself. The girl slid her wand out of her right sleeve, trying to concentrate through her fear. She was still, no doubt, crying but she knew she had to do something. Beatrix didn't want to die. Nor did she want the Gryffindor to die, even though she was suppose to not care about him during a Quidditch match. But Beatrix was also suppose to not care about mudbloods, as her father told her, but she still befriended them like there was no tomorrow. The girl gripped her wand in her right hand (Of course, it hurt like hell but she refused to drop her bat in her other hand) and she focused. What was that spell again? “Agusto Momentum...! Arusto Momentom!? Aresto Momentum!” Beatrix shouted and the two of them stuttered in the air and came to a hault. "Oh my good golly gosh, did that work?" Beatrix smiled and then noticed players diving after the two of them. She slid her wand back into her sleeve and reached out to grab Harcroft's hand... When she began falling again. That was Beatrix's problem. She always was able to cast a spell, but always forgot to focus. There were countless times when she as able to cast a spell quite perfectly and then it would wear off within seconds. Though it could have also been the fact that the spell was too advanced for the young Ravenclaw. But that was nonsense to Beatrix. She could accomplish anything, or so she thought.Beatrix screamed again and hugged Jonathon to her, tight, but then they hit the ground. It didn't seem like they were falling for so long... Beatrix had cast the spell just in time for the two of them to stop within a few feet of the ground and then hit the ground lightly. Well, not lightly... It felt only as if they slipped in a puddle and fell backwards, rather than falling from over one hundred feet in the air (Or whatever it was. Beatrix's thoughts were rather groggy from the panic). Her eyes studied the sky above them and she couldn't help but smile through her tears. She had somehow managed to save herself and the Gryffindor. Though... She still messed up on that spell, and she inwardly cursed at herself. But it was all fine.Though, the people flying down at them were pretty damn scary. They piled onto them and Beatrix let out an "OOF". That hurt. But she could still manage, couldn't she? Hooch stopped the game once again and Beatrix groaned. But they had still scored a goal, which was awesome possum, so she made a small cheer after her groaning."Up up up, if you're able,"Beatrix pulled herself out from the pile and staggered to her feet. To think she could be lying there, broken bones and bleeding all over the place... She shuddered and wiped her forehead, smearing dirt across her face. All this commotion over her trying to save Adrienna from a falling boy. The wind had been knocked out of her, but she was managing... Though she was coughing all over the place. "Are you okay?" Beatrix asked Silversmith after her coughing fit and extended her good hand towards him, her right wrist and bat pressed back into stomach once more. Her stupid broom had smacked into the dirt, also, because of her spell casting, but it didn't look damaged."I'm good!" Beatrix gave Hooch a thumbs-up. It was a lie, since her buttocks hurt and she hit her head hard and she had a broken wrist... But she could still play. "Reeeeaaally good," She mumbled and attempted to dry some of her tears. Reply #79 on July 20, 2010, 05:25:57 PM Josh had hit the ground as well, however, he was relatively uninjured, though he suspected he'd broken his wrist on his non-bat hand. Tightening his glove quickly, he grabbed his broom and said “I’m good to carry on, though I'll need to see the Healer after the game." Josh said, leaving out about his suspected broken wrist, since if Madam Hooch thought he'd broken his wrist, she'd send him to the Hut. Other than the wrist, he had no injures worse than the usual bumps and scrapes. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #80 on July 20, 2010, 09:39:38 PM The world was spinning all around her. Through the sounds of the fans, Megan heard the sound of the whistle blowing. The game stopped at that moment, which meant that her brazen rescue attempt wouldn't cause the Ravenclaw team not to be one chaser out. Despite that fact, she was still flying directly down to the ground, hoping to assist Bea and Silversmith. Not to mention that Josh was spiraling down to them as well. She shook her head, and turned her attention back to Bea and Silversmith, knowing that Josh at least was still on his broom while the other two weren't. However, what happened next, Megan didn't expect to happen at all. Bea successfully managed to stop herself and Silversmith from hitting the earth with high speeds. While they still managed to hit the earth, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She tried to pull her broom up to get out of the fall. But, she wasn't quick enough, and she fell to the earth as well, landing on her left elbow. Cringing, Megan looked up, and sighed a breath of relief. She didn't hear any crack! Not even the sound of a sprain. That was good. She lifted up her left elbow, noticing that she bruised it, and she was in pain from her fall. Moving her left elbow, she determined that she could still move it, and it wasn't seriously injured. Trying to get up, she stumbled at first, noticing that she bruised her left knee as well. Shaking it off, she was able to stand, and walk over to where her broom laid. While she was in pain, her injuries weren't serious enough to keep her out of the game. But, she might want to visit a healer afterward. "I'm fine," she called to Madam Hooch after retrieving her broom. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #81 on July 21, 2010, 01:33:39 AM The children emerged from the pile with resiliance, all of them nearly popping to their feet. A quick once over for each student gave Madam Hooch no cause to worry about their immediate safety. She nodded curtly to them."On your brooms then! Let's not dawdle too much here. I want all of you to speak with Madam Nagde before you go to bed tonight, just to make sure! And Harcroft - do try not to cause so much carnage next time. There's something to be said about precision with those bludgers, I'm sure you've noticed. Up up up!"She shooed them all up into the air before remounting her own broom. She zoomed out low to retrieve the quaffle and handed it off to a Gryffindor player. And the game was back on! Tweeeeet! Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #82 on July 21, 2010, 09:14:50 AM "Oh my good golly gosh, did that work?" Beatrix asked anyone who had listened. Jonathan did not care at this point. He was thanking whichever deity heard his prayers. They were about to calmly exit the situation when he saw Harcroft begin to barrel into him. ‘Harcroft, I am going to force feed you a laxative up your arse and make you !%#@ out of your mouth if I find out you caused this mess,’ Jonathan swore. Of course, none of this was spoken. Jonathan was still more concerned about self-preservation at this point. That, and Jonathan was entirely too lazy to actually execute the threat. Feeling Beatrix hug him, Jonathan wondered if he was a human teddy bear. If he was not concerned about his safety, he actually would have enjoyed the attention from the pretty girl. Beatrix screamed again and hugged Jonathon to her, but then they hit the ground. Fortunately, Beatrix’s spell broke most of the momentum, so he was fine. He had a massively guilty feeling though for causing a girl to suffer for his sake. He also knew he would not be able to live this down in the locker room at the end of the match. He could already hear Harcroft and G. Carter taunting him in his head you got saved by a gu-rl, you got saved by a gu-rl. Wishing he knew a minor healing charm of some kind to cast on Beatrix or some other method of thanking her, Jonathan wondered what he should do for her. His thoughts on the matter stopped though, since his adrenaline ran out at that point. Jonathan grimaced, because it felt like he would be pissing blood for at least a week. He definitely needed to see a healer after this match. After Hooch ordered everyone to get up, Jonathan got up before Beatrix, and offered her his arm. She seemed to be fine though and was able to get up under her own power. "Are you okay?" Beatrix asked Silversmith. Jonathan looked at the witch in sheer admiration. She had shoved her teammate out of the way, taken the fall, and landed at the bottom of the dog pile. Since she was extending her hand, Jonathan shook it figuring that it was the least he could do.“I should be asking you that question. Thanks for the save by the way, my name is Jonathan” Jonathan’s voice cracked once more. Jonathan could not help but mentally groan. His voice had cracked once again where everyone could hear it. Jonathan wanted to really get past this stage of his life where his voice randomly changed octaves, but could not see it happening anytime soon. After Beatrix affirmed her health, Jonathan gave her a thumbs up and went to grab his broom. After Hooch handed him the quaffle , Jonathan passed the object to E Carter. He had enough time in the spotlight for the time being. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #83 on July 26, 2010, 04:25:11 PM Peyton had been neck and neck with Eddy zooming towards Carter's goalposts, eyes steadied on the snitch. He was determined to show his team that he could deliver even though being a Seeker was not his usual position. He wasn't going to let them down and he certainly wasn't going to let Sasha down. He felt that if the tall blonde German had still been in school he'd had already caught the snitch and the game would have been done with. As he narrowed in Peyton reached out his left hand, keeping his more dominant right one on his broom to keep himself steady. He could feel the slight draft the fluttering wings of the snitch caused and was about to snatch it when he heard Madame Hooch's whistle and was forced to grind to a halt.Peyton swore loudly as he watched the Snitch fly off to another spot around the pitch. Figuring it wasn't all the worth it to keep his eyes on the snitch now that he was on the other side of the pitch from it he chanced a look at his team mates and why the game had been halted yet again. He knew it had been a while since he had played for the school but he couldn't remember there being so many interruptions last year."C'mon guys, let's get back to the game!" Peyton had meant it to be encouraging but given his frustration with having lost the snitch after being fingertips away it likely came out a lot harsher than he had intended. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #84 on August 08, 2010, 12:28:39 PM Grace spied the snitch weaving in and around the goalposts and she was itching to stretch her arm out to try and grab for it. But Peyton's presence nearby made maneuvering for the glittering thing a little more difficult. She would have to be more crafty and less reckless, at least for now.Unfortunately, neither she nor Peyton had gotten a good chance to snag the snitch when play was halted for another event with the other players. Grace swore under her breath, annoyed that their progress was being interrupted. Blast! The snitch was hard enough to catch without worrying about constant interruptions! With a sigh, she looked over to her rival seeker and shrugged, muttering under her breath, "Well, back to square one...."And off she sped, her eyes keen for a glimpse of another smattering of gold glitter off in the distance."C'mon guys, let's get back to the game!" Peyton had meant it to be encouraging but given his frustration with having lost the snitch after being fingertips away it likely came out a lot harsher than he had intended.[/quote] Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #85 on August 08, 2010, 11:56:49 PM With the game back on Peyton lay down close to his broom and put in an extra burst of speed heading to the opposite side of the pitch, towards the Ravenclaw goalposts, to where he had last seen the snitch. It looked as though Eddy hadn't been able to keep track of the small glittering golden ball which put him at the advantage and he wasn't going to let that opportunity pass him by. He needed this, he needed to prove he still had it, that despite his bad marks in classes (which he was pulling up) he was still needed out on the pitch.Peyton catch sight of the snitch and began to tail it, closing in on the small object's position. He pictured Sasha in his mind. His poor mate who had been wrongfully accused and was now off somewhere no one knew about while he was laying flat on his broom filling in for him. With Sasha's smile and nervous laugh on his mind Peyton stretched out a hand once again feeling that flutter of wind from the enchanted ball's wings. With an extra push, an extra bit of exertion Peyton felt his fingers touch the cool metal before snagging it and bringing it into his palm. He held onto the thing as if his life depended on it and let his broom come to a stop.Peyton raised his closed fist into the air waving it ever so slightly to let his team, the Gryffindors, Madame Hooch and most importantly all their supporters know that he had caught it. Peyton had caught the snitch! The game was over! Ravenclaw had won! Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #86 on August 09, 2010, 05:36:02 PM Swift movement from the seekers caught Madam Hooch's sharp eyes, but the roar of the crowd told her that the snitch had finally been caught. She flew over towards Peyton, whose teammates were already swarming to congratulate."Let's see it then," she said, holding out a gloved hand for the little golden ball. She took it up and had a look at its buzzing wings. "Well done, lad. Chased it down, didn't you? Well done."She held up the snitch and blew her whistle loudly. Tweeeeeeeet! Twee-tweeeet!"Ravenclaw catches the snitch! 160 to 10! The match is finished!" she shouted with a wave of her hand. As the crowd began to leave their seats, and as the teams did their final movements, Madam Hooch took out her wand and called the bludgers down, then collected up the quaffle.(A very successful match! I hope everyone had a great time playing. We'll put together another match for next term, I'm sure!) Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #87 on August 09, 2010, 07:21:55 PM Edmund, battered, bruised and berated, was ready to collapse on his broom. With aching shoulders and a heavy heart, it was getting difficult even raising his bat; Edmund's back was beyond painful. Looking at Beatrix, he wanted to throw in the towel but could never let her down - he couldn't let Leon down either. Glancing for the Bludger, then glancing at his best friend as Keeper, he knew that the Quidditch team was Leon's real opportunity to show everybody how good he was - what a great leader he was. Edmund had placed every inch of faith in his best friend, and he knew Leon would be around for a long time. There was no way he was letting him down now.Flying upwards and above the pitch, he looked around frantically for any way to attack any Gryffindor Chaser. Then his mind fell on Emily. Seeing her so irate and motivated on the pitch made him fall for her that little bit more; she was everything he wanted and needed in a girl. For a split second, his concentration was purely invested in his lust for her. His heavy, battered soul reeked of adolescent attraction - Emmylou had been the hottest thing to come his way for a long time. With that in mind, could he really beat her into next week with the Bludger? Edmund just couldn't.As his mind quite unprofessionally floated upon subjects exterior to Quidditch, he noticed Madame Hooch signalling something - the end of the match? Immediately, his bat fell from his fingers loosely, his hand almost losing grip completely. Until - until he noticed the screams of the Ravenclaw fans. They'd won? They'd won?! Flying down towards Peyton, the younger Ravenclaw was in no way ready for Mr Klint. Throwing his arms around the Seeker, he gave him a boyish smooch on the kiss, filled with camarederie and sportsmanship."Wentworth, I love you!" Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #88 on August 10, 2010, 08:19:45 AM Peyton definitely wasn't used to this kind of attention. He had always been a chaser, whose glory was short lived. People cheered whenever he scored a goal but then the game continued and most people forgot all about it. The Seekers always got all the glory since more often than not they were the ones that won the game. While being a Seeker came naturally, the hugs, cheers and roar from the crowd was something new, exciting, overwhelming and even a little unnerving. It made Peyton feel bad that Sasha wasn't there getting all of the attention instead. As Peyton placed his feet on the ground he felt as if he were still flying. He took the hugs and pats on the back with a humble smile trying to tell anyone that listened that it was a team effort and everyone did their part. He began heading back to the change rooms when Klint came flying in. If Peyton wasn't six feet tall he figured he would have fallen over from Edmund throwing his arms around him. Peyton had always been a friendly guy but he definitely wasn't used to such physical attention. Before he could even begin to recover from Klint hugging him the older Ravenclaw had grabbed his face and gave him an over exaggerated smooch on the lips.Peyton's face went red almost immediately. The kiss itself had been nothing more than delight and adrenaline, the older Quidditch player showing his gratitude for Peyton winning the match for them. However it was actually the first kiss Peyton had ever gotten (other than his mother kissing him at night before bed) and the younger Ravenclaw couldn't help but feel an uncomfortable rush run through his tired body. He had never really been interested in girls, he always found them to be too much of a hassle but maybe this was why. Peyton's stomach was flip flopping the way it always did whenever he was around Professor Frasier. He gave Edmund a wonky, goofy smile, "Yeah, love you too." He squinched up his face realizing what he had just said, "I mean, uh good game." Thoroughly embarrassed Peyton thumbed towards the change room, "I'm gonna got get changed." Skip to next post Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Reply #89 on August 10, 2010, 09:41:58 AM The events were flying by so fast. After her free fall, Megan's left elbow and left knee hurt her. She would definately feel the pain later. As a matter of fact, her limbs already ached. She tried to continue to play with the pain, but she couldn't shake it off for too long. It quickly came back, and continued to ache her. She was still able to move her limbs, but that didn't stop them from hurting her. When the Qudditch game was finally back in play, Megan tried to follow the quaffle. She saw Silversmith obtain the quaffle from Madam Hooch. Noticing that Silversmith tried to pass the ball to his teammate, she flew after the quaffle, hoping for an interception. While trying to do this, she didn't notice that Peyton had caught the snitch. It was only when Madam Hooch blew her whistle, and announced the results. Turning her head, she looked down below, and noticed that Peyton indeed caught the snitch. Megan smiled as she noticed that they won. Ravenclaw won! She flew down, towards the ground. She cringed as she jumped off her broom, a limp in her step. But, she walked as fast as she was able to with her injuries, she eventually walked over to Peyton after Edmund congratulated him. Once she reached him, she pulled Peyton into a hug, ignoring her pain for the time being. "Congratulations on catching the snitch. Sasha would be proud!" she said to him, and kissed his check quickly to congratulate him. Skip to next post

Beatrix asked Silversmith after her coughing fit and extended her good hand towards him, her right wrist and bat pressed back into stomach once more. Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor! Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Tweeeeet! Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. With a sigh, she looked over to her rival seeker and shrugged, muttering under her breath, "Well, back to square one...."And off she sped, her eyes keen for a glimpse of another smattering of gold glitter off in the distance."C'mon guys, let's get back to the game!" Peyton had meant it to be encouraging but given his frustration with having lost the snitch after being fingertips away it likely came out a lot harsher than he had intended.[/quote] Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. We'll put together another match for next term, I'm sure!) Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. Throwing his arms around the Seeker, he gave him a boyish smooch on the kiss, filled with camarederie and sportsmanship."Wentworth, I love you!" Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs. He gave Edmund a wonky, goofy smile, "Yeah, love you too." He squinched up his face realizing what he had just said, "I mean, uh good game." Thoroughly embarrassed Peyton thumbed towards the change room, "I'm gonna got get changed." Skip to next post
Re: [Dec 5] Ravenclaw vs.
