Sophie watched as Hexy disappeared for a moment or two, quickly returning with her makeup Lipwitch Sorting Palette. At first she didn’t recognize it, but once it started unfolding more and more, seemingly endless amounts of storage revealing itself, Sophie immediately was impressed. Her mother having been her main source of information regarding beauty and makeup growing up, most of her makeup techniques and products were muggle items her mother had taught her to use. She had dabbled a bit with makeup created by wix, but there was something she enjoyed about the manual and somewhat simple methods the muggle world had come up with.

“Merlin! Hexy you’ve got an impressive collection!” she complimented, leaning forward to look over all the products, thinking of her small makeup caddy that sat in her room containing mostly the basics, a handful of lipsticks, and eyeshadow palette she had damn near gotten every speck of product out of.

“Perhaps I will switch things up a tad.” she pondered out loud, admiring the deep dark red color of one particular lip product that was a shade she had always considered trying, but had never actually mustered the courage to try.

“It’s not particularly fancy right? I have this plaid skirt I got a while back at a thrift shop, just haven’t had the chance to wear it yet.”

Hexy
Hexy drank the last of her plum bubble juice as Sophie fawned over the makeup set. "Most of it is for performances. Although in the muggle troupes I have to keep it locked down to the single tray format."

She chewed her lip, contemplating looks for the night out. Even for being a late bloomer in terms of appreciating makeup, Hexy never wanted to take longer than 10 minutes for any style. Stories of girls who took close to 30 minutes primping, even with magical methods, still boggled her mind. She also wanted it easy to remove if she tired of trying something. Or emergencies.

"Don't open that drawer," Hexy said as Sophie examined lipsticks, pointing to one of the foldouts with a worn handle. "I dumped spent tubes in there until I could trash them and something bled out, so it now reeks." Eying the darker red Sophie fancied, she also suggested "If you like that one, this is called 'Pepper Imp Kiss Spicy Lipstick,' almost like the hot candies."

Said lipstick being a deep red umber, almost black, with fiery crimson glitter that she sat next to Sophie's selection.

"As for me," Hexy idly spun through some shelves before stopping at a nostalgic area. "Dare I go green so close to that holiday?" It was the Tetrawizard Tournament collection, having the Durmstrang shade of green, next to hues taken from other school crests like eye-shadow in Beauxbatons blue or purple lipstick with silvery metallic finish matching Salem Witches Institute of Magic.

"I don't plan on being fancy," Hexy agreed, "this isn't a night at the Pendragon Hotel. Depends if you'd rather match or accent your skirt, I reckon." She slumped back into the couch. Heck, she'd almost wear the same outfit she wore now, being oddly unsure of what to wear.

“I’d say you should see how you feel on the day of. It’s awful when you get an outfit all set and ready to go, then when you actually have to wear it suddenly you want nothing to do with it.” Sophie suggested when Hexy asked about her color choices. She was an organized person for the most part, but not always the best at planning ahead. She preferred to go with the flow when it came to things like outfits, hair styles, makeup looks. It was a mood thing, and more often than not if the vibe wasn’t on point, she wasn’t about to move forward with that decision if she didn’t have to commit.

“I’m excited! It will be a fantastic night! We’ll paint the town red….well…maybe green.” she mused. Pushing off her seat with her hand, Sophie stood from the couch with a content sigh.

“Well, all this talk about getting out has me feeling a bit pent up. I think I’m going to head off to a music shop in London my brother mentioned the other day.” she explained as she pulled out her wand and accioed the belonging she’d need on her journey. Nearing the door she shook out her flaming hair one last time. “You’re welcome to come with if you’d like.” she offered before heading out.
