[August 27] A slumbering we go [Addie]

on January 01, 2018, 01:45:21 PM

Around 7pm.

It had been far too long since Fauna had gotten together with her half-sister, former Hufflepuff housemate, and close friend, Addie Delacroix. She skidded around the kitchen in her cupcake slippers, hurrying to cook a pot of fried rice. Shooing the Fayette boys out for the night, it'd just be her and Addie taking over the living room like old times. Once they caught up, she hoped she could entice Theta, Penny, and Grace to hang out with them a bit.

During the short time Addie had lived at the Radford house, the party had never really ended. Now, it felt like Addie was coming home after a long trip.

Fauna had so. much. to tell her!

Spellpunk last night. The silliness at Raine's slumber party (which had inspired this one). Knox returning to Hogwarts. Pratt inflicting his children on her. So much.

She hoped Addie was doing well since the trouble with Matty, and wanted all the good things for her.

"All the good things, all the good things," she sang along to the wireless blaring on the counter.

With a flick of her wand, Fauna turned off the stove and put the pot of rice on another burner.

When the doorbell sounded, Madam Radford's portrait announced from the foyer, "The Hufflepuff returneth, dears!"

Fauna hurried to the door, peeking through the window before flinging the door open.

"Addie!" She hugged her.

"Come in and make yourself at home. I made fried rice in the kitchen. You know where everything is."

Fauna held Pez back gently by the collar. "Pez, please don't pee," Fauna whispered to the dog.

Pez wagged his tail and smushed his face against Addie's leg, sensing the arrival of a kind, kindred spirit.
