I started out on Specialis Revelio, and then I was kindly invited here to help make Absit Omen.If you have written other characters here, list them all: Aileen Reid, Ancient Runes Professor.About the CharacterFull Character Name: Fauna BlakeCharacter Birthday & Age: 17 years old. Born February 20, 1991.City & Country of Birth: Dolton village in North Devon, U.K.Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: MugglebornHouse & Year: Hufflepuff Seventh year, come Fall 2008.Wand: Ollivander's wand: Silver Maple wood, 10 inches, unicorn hair core, and bendy/brittle. The grain of the wood is visible and the texture is somewhat gnarled. It bends in several places and appears fragile. Fauna has often compared it to the long and lined finger of an elderly person. From WhirlwoodPhysical Description: Fauna was tall and skinny as a kid, but around the age of thirteen her growth spurts stopped and she now stands at 5’5’’. She has always looked younger than she really is. Fauna has a slight frame, light brown hair and large blue eyes, a complexion that can only be described as pasty, and a dusting of freckles on her nose. Her graceful, "pianist" hands are her only vanity. Otherwise, she is humble about her looks and painfully aware of her clumsiness. Her clothing style is eccentric. Some have called it ‘color-blind hippie’. She loves anything that is comfortable, fuzzy (yes fuzzy), and brightly colored, she likes mixing patterns that generally don’t mix, and she has an assortment of silly skirts and sillier hats. Her mum still makes some of her clothes; an arrangement that Fauna is happy about.Personality Description: Fauna is a soft-spoken girl who is shy, anxious, and unused to being paid a lot of attention. She’d rather observe others than interact with them. This isn’t to say she’s antisocial, but she tends to worry more than talk, and she has difficulty expressing herself. Her speech is slow and thoughtful, to avoid messing up words or saying something embarrassing. She doesn’t fidget much, and moves at a slow, meandering pace, making her the cause of frequent traffic jams in the corridors. She has a habit of spacing out, even (or especially) when someone is talking, and her eyes tend to stray elsewhere. Fauna often appears oblivious to how people respond to her, when in truth, she’s extremely naïve in some ways and hypersensitive to reality in other ways. The slightest criticism cuts deep, while the smallest compliments leave her feeling ecstatic. Because of her sensitivity, she’s always careful to treat others well.Fauna’s self-esteem is patchy at best. She knows what she’s good at, without bragging about it, and she knows her faults too. However, she focuses more on what she’s bad at. There’s a part of her that’s a bit rebellious, which shows in her strange dress, choice of pets, and quiet, but strong, convictions. She’s rarely comfortable in her own skin, though that may be a side effect of being a teenager. It’s very easy to embarrass Fauna, if she hasn’t already embarrassed herself!Kind to a fault, Fauna has a difficult time standing up for herself, though she’s marginally better at standing up for friends and those she cares about. She can be highly empathetic and is forgiving of quirks and flaws. Subconsciously, she tends to seek out those who are odd, have issues, or simply those no one else would put up with. Once she makes a friend, she’s a friend for life. When faced with tension or abrupt changes, Fauna is prone to passivity. She retreats into herself when people treat her badly, and if someone around her is sad or upset, she feels the same. This gentleness can make her easily led, even when she knows better. Fauna has a very unusual way of thinking. She’s a slow learner, and most traditional teaching methods don’t work for her. School subjects that involve intensive reading and writing are horrendously difficult, so in the past she’s received tutoring to help keep her at the same level as her peers. In classes, she tends to daydream, and hesitates to ask questions or demonstrate her knowledge. Outside of class, she’s able to focus better and learn at her own pace.Because many subjects don’t come easily to her, she’s more determined to succeed than a lot of students, and she works harder just to keep up. Thinking outside of the box is a real strength of hers. Her creativity and imagination not only gives her an escape, but also allows her to discover different solutions to problems. She loves the arts, especially drawing and music. She can play the piano very well. Her tolerance and non-judgmental nature leaves her free to accept varying opinions, cultures, and obscure scholarly studies. When interested in something, she forgets to worry, and expresses a child-like enthusiasm and refreshing optimism.History: Fauna grew up in a small, cluttered house with her mother, older sister Moira, and her grandparents. She came into this world just before her father left them, which was a stressful time for the Blake family. He and her mother were married for ten years, struggling, on occasion, to provide for their daughter Moira, but still fairly happy. It was when her father’s work hours were cut that this changed. It became more and more difficult to get by, and they started fighting about their finances and the new baby on the way. Fauna was born on the third of March, and her parents divorced a month after. Since then, Fauna’s only seen her father twice in her lifetime, and knows little about him. This never really bothered her though, because her grandparents have always been there to take his place. They moved into the Blake household when Fauna was about six months old, and they held the family together at that time, and many times in the future. Despite the overly crowded house and frequent squabbles that came with it, family has always been Fauna’s backbone. Her mother, Catherine, works at a milliner's and taught the sisters how to sew at a young age. Fauna was never very good at it, but she has an appreciation for the job and pride in what she wears. Catherine is a kind but busy mother, which explains why Fauna turns to her older sister for advice and comfort. Moira’s a smart, charismatic, and vivacious girl who keeps an eye out for Fauna. As sisters, they couldn’t be more different, but their shared love of music and reliance on each other makes their relationship strong. From a young age, Fauna was also very close to her grandfather, who taught her how to play the piano. He was a man of few words and even fewer physical displays of affection, but Fauna held a special place in his heart and he was exceedingly gentle with her. Her grandparents were a delightful study in opposites. Fauna’s grandmother talked enough for the two of them and could make a great story out of anything- such as a quick trip to the market or feeding ducks at the pond. Somehow, her stories became more exciting and interesting each time she told them, but a little embellishment never hurt anyone. She always encouraged Fauna to speak her mind and express herself artistically, even if Fauna wasn’t very good with words. They developed a tradition of storytelling together. Fauna would show her grandma her latest drawings, and like a puzzle, her grandma would fit the pieces together to form a detailed narrative, which entertained everyone who heard it. Her grandmother kept the family in high spirits, no easy feat during the times when money was hard to come by.Fauna was a very shy, gentle child who became upset and frustrated easily. Her grandfather was the first to notice that she didn’t develop or learn as quickly as other children, so he took the time to give her the extra care she needed. He encouraged her to fight back against bullies, which she was never very good at, and how to throw a decent punch, which she never used. Her grandmother, on the other hand, focused on helping her with school and homework. She read to her every night, made flashcards for math, and sat down with her for hours, as Fauna completed work that took most kids half that time. Elementary school was a huge struggle, both academically and socially, but Fauna endured with her family’s patience and attention. Even so, it wasn’t until Hogwarts that she found her place in the world and developed some confidence.Like all muggle families, Fauna’s family was quite shocked to discover the existence of Hogwarts and the Wizarding world. However, the surprise her family felt was far outweighed by relief. While they wanted to keep her close to home, they also wanted her to be happy and to succeed at school. Hogwarts came as a godsend. Here was her chance to fit in and be among children who might accept her. Her family tends to think of Fauna’s magical ability as just another of her endearing oddities, or as another art form much like music and drawing. Her talents and studies are encouraged, because they want her to put forth the most effort she possibly can.Her grandma was, perhaps, the most excited about Hogwarts. She finally had a vibrant, fantastical setting at her fingertips to mold and shape in her storytelling. Luckily, those outside of the family take her stories with a grain of salt. She has no concept of censorship and will proudly talk about Fauna’s ability to transfigure teacups to anyone who will listen. This has made her a bit of running joke at the Ministry, who continually send her letters about the importance of secrecy to the magical world. Rather than heeding their warnings, her grandma pastes each note carefully into her scrapbook of evidence. She even managed to grab an owl feather one time, but not before suffering some battle scars.Life at Hogwarts has come with its ups and downs. At first, Fauna was far from popular, and her magical abilities failed to put her on the same level as the other kids. As the years have passed, she’s found more acceptance. Fauna mainly sticks to her housemates, stays out of trouble, and confides in a few close friends. Her best subjects are Charms and Divination, and she enjoys Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures as well. Spontaneous spells that require strength of purpose come naturally to her, instead of spells that require a lot of steps. If she has to mold her thinking into a set way, she comes across obstacles, and has encountered much difficulty with Potions, Astronomy, Transfiguration, and above all, History of Magic. When Fauna was in her fifth year, her grandfather passed away as the result of a sickness he’d been battling for a few years. She’d never lost anyone she’d loved before, so this has been especially hard on her and her grandmother. She misses him greatly, and is at a loss of what to do. Her family that was once so strong seems to be slowly unraveling. Fauna’s older sister is 24 years old now and trying to make it in the real world. Moira’s choice of profession, a singer/songwriter, makes life very difficult and she’s currently stuck waiting tables. Occasionally, she gets the chance to sing at pubs and coffeehouses in London. Fauna doesn’t see her as often as she’d like, and Moira visits home less and less to avoid criticism from their mother about getting a more stable job. The two sisters have been raised to be careful about spending money, but the financial problems they faced when Fauna was young left a deep impact on their mother. Her mother still works at the milliner’s, and business has been fine for years. However, Fauna’s grandmother isn’t as energetic or happy as she used to be, and Catherine is trying to take care of her while working full time. She doesn’t have a lot of friends or people to talk to, and Fauna worries about them both. Fauna’s seventh year is coming up, which excites and terrifies her. She’s simply taken the subjects that she enjoys so far, with no real thought as to what she wants to do after Hogwarts. She’d like a job that involves magic, but she’s not sure what occupation would be the best fit.How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Fauna is a Hufflepuff through and through: accepting, tolerant, loyal, and a hard worker. She brings creativity and patience to her housemates, while they look out for her. She is not naturally crafty, bold, or intelligent enough to feel at home in any other house, though she values and admires the qualities of other houses. Writing Sample:(From Specialis Revelio)Fauna was cut off from further worrying when the air around her grew still and quiet. She looked around in confusion. People still shuffled their materials, mouths still moved, yet sound was faint and far away. Fauna rubbed at her ears. Had she gone deaf?Apparently not. The Headmaster had just cast a charm. She grabbed a dancing quill and looked up as he began speaking. Her eyebrows drew together. What’s a limerick? It sounded like a lick of rim, which didn’t make any sense. She tapped her quill on her parchment and thought. He’d said that third years would be doing something similar, a song.Fauna paled considerably. Oh, no. She had enough trouble getting out the right words and spelling them correctly, and now she had to rhyme?Extremely unhappy, she remembered to avoid turning in her seat to stare at Dehgo in despair, and instead rested her chin in her hand. She picked up her quill and began writing:A pearo phearoA King made Egypt oneThere are 2 partsUpper and lowerBut he combind themWith the help of spellsHis name was Narmer. She tried again, the second poem about Nefertiti, but it was even worse than the one before. No, this was no good. They didn’t rhyme, they didn’t make sense, they didn’t do anything! Fauna shut her eyes to prevent tears from springing. When she opened them, she had an idea. The one thing she could remember from her history book were the illustrations. She knew, mostly, what the Ancient Egyptian pantheon looked like and what their symbols were, along with some of the more powerful pharaohs suspected to be wizards. Maybe she couldn’t write limericks, but she could draw out what she wanted to say and how the wizards related to each other… like a visual map of sorts.Feeling better, she started on a new piece of parchment, drawing little portraits of the wizards she remembered and listing descriptive words below. Simple lists didn’t require grammar, they didn’t require rhyming; the only thing she needed to do was spell correctly. Still, Fauna honestly hoped her illustrations would overshadow her words. It was the only way she would pass.Sum up your character in one paragraph: Fauna is gentle, kind, and imaginative. She may seem dim at times, but she just thinks differently than other people. Though she worries a lot, she’s open to new experiences and is curious about life. She’s always wished she could express her thoughts and feelings better. Her insecurity and lack of confidence often holds her back more than any incompetence on her part. She’s a bit immature, and may not be emotionally ready to leave Hogwarts after another school year. She chose the time and place for the meetings and advertised with fliers around the school. During the meetings, she tried to create a welcoming environment and get all members involved. Fauna, with the help of Waker Nolan, Atticus Pennyapple, Megan Ruiz, and Adelia Delacroix, also supervised a week-long mural project commemorating the battle. All students and visitors were welcome to participate. She also helped to set up the Student Art Booth in Hogsmeade, which showcased student artwork and gave a powerful visual aspect to Remembering Day events. When Remembering week came to a close, the group decided that they should continue their art club in the fall. After much thumb-twiddling and excessive worrying, Fauna applied for the position of president.[What Do You Think the Most Important Aspect of This Job Is:?The most important aspect Fauna brings to the job is her ability to listen and encourage others. She wants to hear everyone’s ideas, and makes a real effort to incorporate all ideas into the final product or show. She’s not the most calm or organized person, but when she has the support of a group of talented members, she is able to focus better and make the club activities successful. This role also gives her a much needed confidence boost and teaches her how to take charge appropriately.[Tell a Story From Your Past That Has Proven Your Mettle:] From the Student Art Booth Meeting:Fauna rested her chin in her hands and watched Atticus construct how the work could be displayed on a piece of paper. She nodded encouragingly at him, happy that all the pressure wasn’t on her. Fauna may have been the one to call the meeting, but this was definitely a team effort, and she never would have thought of the ideas Waker and Atticus had. Most of her listened attentively, but the artistic part of her admired the confident way Atticus designed the plans. He drew the three-dimensional space quickly and she could understand where the artwork and statues would go. Fauna wished she could think of buildings and spaces accurately the first time she drew. The proportions often looked skewed to her, so she just ended up avoiding internal structures and focusing on objects and details. Her head popped up when he suggested the disappearing and reappearing names on the floor. “That’s… I love that.” Fauna glanced at Waker, who had paused in her note-taking and seemed impressed. She jumped up from her seat and looked at the plans more closely. “Maybe… we could make the names a pathway… through the space. Have it.. a few letters at the beginning, here, and then the names become clearer the more- or the farther you go in.”It could start out subtle. People may not even be aware of what they were walking over at first. She imagined it like a trail of breadcrumbs, except instead of leading to a gingerbread house, the breadcrumbs themselves were the most important. Fauna smiled at him. “I like that it’s on the floor. Art doesn’t always have to be on walls.” She paused. “We could even… charm some of the drawings to hang in midair if we wanted.”Shrugging, Fauna sat on a nearby desk and thought for a moment. “About the space,” she looked at Waker. “There’s a community art show in Hogsmeade the Saturday of Remembering Week. If we can get permission, we can do a student booth there. And… well… there’s nothing stopping us from displaying our work one day in the castle. Except for professor permission,” she flushed slightly. Fauna would have to talk to someone, probably the Headmaster. She liked Greyfriar and most of the professors, actually, but the idea of seeking them out and telling them about their art show made her nervous already. The door opened and in walked Adelia, looking embarrassed. Fauna let out a sigh of relief. She’d worried that her friend hadn’t really been interested after all, but she should have known that Addie just forgot. Fauna smiled at her.“It’s okay! I’m glad you’re here,” she added. “Well, we’re trying to figure out space. Where to display the work. But since there’s not a ton of people in our group, Waker had the idea of adding in some of the old artwork in the castle. Atticus has been sketching out the plans and thought of including the names of, um, people we lost.”She didn’t comment on her idea to make the pictures move because her mind was stuck on the names. Her feet swung as she thought. The idea wasn’t traditional, because it showed words and text instead of images, but the way in which it was displayed made it art. She thought it was very creative. She looked at Atticus again, knowing that he felt annoyed that there were so few people here at the meeting.“Um…” she hesitated. “We… we want to have more people in the show, right? Well, what if we do, uh,” she glanced down and her feet swung faster. “A type of chain letter?”Fauna looked at them nervously, imagining they thought the worst. “A lot of people don’t think they’re artistic. But… everyone can do something. We could start something simple, a basic drawing on a regular piece of parchment, and pass it on. To friends, housemates, peers, anyone. They could add to the artwork, like… put in words, newspaper clippings, doodles…. photos… anything that relates to the battle and their feelings. And then they pass it on and it just keeps going.”They could start multiple ‘chain’ letters and circulate them around the school. When the letters were filled, they could string them together like a collage and display them in the show. Fauna figured some students might want to remain anonymous, so she wasn’t certain how to give everyone recognition. It was an idea though. Fauna glanced between the other students and fought the urge to bite her fingernails. This gives Pisces Suns the ability to identify with people from all walks of life--from all backgrounds--in some way. These individuals are not only changeable and adaptable, they have open minds and tremendous understanding. But Pisces itself is often misunderstood. Pisces Suns may spend a good portion of their lives yearning for understanding, and the other part in a state of divine discontent. Suffering is sometimes glamorized in the Piscean world. Sun in Pisces people are frequently pegged as wishy-washy, but this is all a matter of opinion. What you will find behind a vaguely directionless, spacey manner is a deep person with real dreams. Their dreams are more than getting that picket fence or making it up the corporate ladder. Pisces are tuned in to a higher purpose and their dreams transcend the individual. A deep love for humanity, and compassion that knows no bounds is found with this placement of the Sun. Pisceans are not known to be cutthroat business types, nor are they given to throwing themselves out into the world in an aggressive manner. But make no mistake about it, Pisces can be extraordinarily successful when given the chance to express themselves. The arts, marketing, music, teaching, drama, healing arts...these are all fields in which Pisces can find expression. Their imagination, attunement to humanity, and remarkable intuition endow them with enviable gifts of insight and creativity.Pisces is a sensitive sign--both sensitive to criticism and sensitive to others' feelings. Easily touched by human suffering, at least in theory, Pisces wouldn't hurt a fly. They believe in people, are deeply hurt by compassionless human behavior, and have a hard time saying no. Harsh realities are avoided either through escapist behavior or self-delusion; but every now and again reality does raise its ugly head, and hits Pisces over the head. This is a sad time indeed. Pisces retreats into their own world, self-pitying and giving pep talks to themselves ("I will never trust again!"). Rest assured, though, that these periods are rather short-lived and even useful. Pisces seems to derive energy from their (generally short) bouts of self-pity. They come back stronger, with a spring in their step, ready to face the world again, and just as, if not more, compassionate and trusting as they were before. Some might even wonder if Pisces finds pleasure in suffering. Sometimes this is the case, but most of the time, Pisces pulls a lot of creative energy from sadness. Pisces is the poet or artist with angst, although this trait is often more apparent with Moon in Pisces. Some find Pisces' tendency to be late for appointments, spaced out behavior, and absent-mindedness amount to irresponsibility. Pisces would be shocked to know this, however. Who me? Pisces wonders. Irresponsible? Pisces Suns absolutely care--their love knows no bounds--but their retreats from ordinary life (whether they are as simple as daydreams or actual departures) that they so seem to need every now and again are not always understandable to no-nonsense signs, such as Virgo or Aries. Many Pisces seem almost allergic to things like shopping lists, maps, directions, and instructions, and for some brave souls, even watches -- they prefer to feel their way through life than to follow some plan. We find plenty of artists, poets, and musicians with Sun (and other personal planets) in Pisces. Piscean themes are woven throughout the songs of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, for example. Short description: She is compassionate and sentimental. She likes isolated occupations: administration, archives, history. Spirit of self-sacrifice.Weaknesses: tendency to be led astray, lack of experience or inability to apply experience practically. Lethargy, over-sensitivity and emotionalism.Moon in TaurusFamiliarity is important to Lunar Taureans. These people are earthy and strong-willed. They feel with their senses and they are pretty much rooted in their ways. They revel in material comforts--in fact, building a solid and comfortable home and foundation helps to keep them feeling safe and content. It isn't wise to try to push Lunar Taureans into doing anything, but once they have made a commitment, they're persevering. There's a steadiness to this position of the Moon that is comforting to those close to them. But the conservative streak in these natives can be maddening to more progressive personalities. They tend to go out of their way to avoid "messy" or unpredictable situations, crises, and emotional displays. Instead, they focus on creating a reliable and secure life around them. In relationships, Lunar Taureans may not easily recognize their partner's need for change, growth, or emotional stimulation.Moon in Taurus natives are generally very romantic. Their affections are strong, deep, and unwavering. They are sentimental and warm. Since Taurus is a practical earth sign, the placement of the Moon in this sign suggests an ability to protect themselves and their own interests. They will rarely make a move without first determining that it is safe and that there's something in it for them. Generally, Taurus Moon people have reliable instincts. They are very much tied to the physical world, and they often have a particularly well-developed sense of smell. Relationships with people born with this position of Mars are often quite enduring. Many Mars in Taurus people hang onto their mates, even in the face of serious conflict. Taurus is a fixed sign, so break-ups don't happen easily. There is a serenity to them that is calming. In fact, it takes a lot to really get to them. However, they do get off-center every once in a while. They are not the most adaptable people when their own routine is interrupted, for example. Though some Lunar Taureans might be considered anal, most simply have a stubborn streak that keeps them rather resistant to change. Rarely are they spontaneous sorts. Uncomfortable with surprises, these natives value stability. Their needs are strong but quite simple at the same time--they love the "good things" in life. The world of the five senses is all-important to these natives. Their love of stability and steadiness can make them slaves to routine. However, they are loyal and capable people.Short description: Sweetness itself. Convinced of their ideas and strong-willed. She is foresighted and willful. She knows how to trust. She appreciates all the good things in life. She appreciates and protects Nature.Weaknesses: excesses in pleasure, laziness, sensuality, thoughtlessness.Ascendant in CancerThese people come across as gentle creatures. There's something familiar about them -- they're the guy or gal next door. When they enter a room, they don't walk in with a splash. Instead, they move to the sides and weave their way inwards. These people have a familiar feel to them. Because they are rather sensitive to their environment, they can get flustered easily, especially in public. Their first instinct, when threatened or on unfamiliar ground, is to protect themselves. When new situations present themselves, they can immediately withdraw or act shy. Generally, these people come across as caring people. They seem quite sweet -- even innocent. Usually, these people appear unassuming enough to be quite approachable. Some Cancer Ascendants, however, have retreated into themselves so much as to be quite the opposite.Since Capricorn is on the Descendant, Cancer Ascendant people are looking for structure and security in their partner and their relationship. These people function best when their partner displays strength, financial and emotional stability, and know-how. In fact, many Cancer Ascendants prefer it when their relationship has well-defined rules. Security is the basic need, and they are generally more than willing to give up some personal freedom in order to get it. In some cases, Cancer Ascendant people can surprise their partners. Why? Because they come across as rather unassuming, family-oriented people. When it comes to marriage, they have a rather matter-of-fact, practical approach. Mercury in AquariusNot necessarily loud or flamboyant, but she often has a quiet way of stirring others up. Delights in exposing what she deems biases in others' way of thinking. Very quick to contradict others, and to offer a different perspective, she enjoys intellectual debates. Amazing powers of observation, and a quirky way of looking at the world. Humorous and interesting. Loves practical jokes and raising eyebrows.Venus in PiscesWhen your Venus is in Pisces, you love tenderly and compassionately. You are a peace-maker at heart, and your sensors are so strong that you pick up as much as possible, and perhaps more, from your partner. You have a sense of humor in love, although you have your shares of ups and downs, as you are a very sensitive person. Harshness bothers you. Wistfulness is almost as natural to you as breathing when it comes to love. No matter how you approach other areas of your life, there is a romantic side of you. You crave making a connection with a person—many would call it a deep connection, but spiritual is a better word, as your ideal love rises above rather than plunges below the mundane world. You can be devastatingly attractive to some people, and your charm is of a tender and soft quality. Others sense your warmth, but also some elusiveness. As much as you want to connect and share with another person, you also resist being pinned down. You prefer to enjoy a certain amount of freedom to act on your feelings, rather than through schedules or impositions. Sometimes you attach yourself to people because you have a hard time saying "no". However, you also have a hard time pretending for any length of time. Your exit from a relationship may not always be direct and quick. You are not always comfortable with being direct, simply because you don't like hurting people's feelings. You can sometimes seem like a chameleon in your relationships. People who share time with you, if they were to exchange notes about you, would likely have a very different impression of you. You can seem like a completely different person with different people--not because you have a weak character. Because you are an emotional sponge, you pick up the needs of those around you. Your adaptability comes from a lack of personal boundaries in matters of the heart. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and it carries with it each and every sign. This explains, to a degree, your ability to slip into anyone's shoes without so much as a blink. So, with Venus, the planet of love and relationship, in Pisces, it is easy for you to pick up the needs of your partner and even adopt those needs as your own. Where do your needs start and end? It can be hard for you to distinguish what it is that you want because you very spontaneously and naturally soak in the needs and wants of a partner. You have an amazing capacity to understand people and to forgive. Just as you resist being pinned down to an absolute, a schedule, or a concrete definition, you also have a hard time drawing boundaries. In the process, however, you open yourself up to challenging situations and relationships. It is difficult for you to pass judgment on anyone in an absolute sense, as you have compassion for human failings, but sometimes it is the only way to close yourself off from a bad situation. Don't let others take advantage of your hospitality and empathy. Anyone who sees these traits as signs of weakness is likely preying on them! The right lover for you will recognize your kindness and your willingness to slip into someone's shoes as signs of strength! When that special someone has touched your heart, they are rewarded with a funny, sometimes kooky, and always tender-hearted lover. The right person for you will find you absolutely delightful, intriguingly changeable, and a treasure indeed.Sun in Pisces with Cancer AscendantWith Cancer rising, others see you as moody. You may seem quite shy, insecure, and super-sensitive. You give off the impression of reacting emotionally to everything, and also appear as someone who is extremely home and family loving. You are also intensely creative. Others see you as capable of nurturing others in a deep capacity and even if you're a man, there is this "mothering" quality to your persona. In matters of love, sex and dating, this Ascendant will provide comfort and security to their lover. The ability to turn a relationship into a sanctuary is unparalleled. Sex and emotions can never be separate for Cancer rising, although you can sure this is an extremely sexual sign. Still, for Cancer rising, sex is always better when it comes with love. When this Ascendant does fall in love with someone, the tender affection is an incomparable experience.Pisces really need to be needed. They suffer from fear of rejection and low self-esteem. Pisceans are tender and caring, but frequently become the victims of domineering and uncaring partners.Pisceans are the most loving and giving of the signs, their ability to select an inappropriate partner is legendary. In the right relationship, their sexuality will blossom and become something of an art form, especially as they get a little older, more experienced and more confident.• Your nature is essentially feminine, even though you belong manifestly to the bearded race. You're very intuitive, hypersensitive, romantic, lethargic and dreamy.• You've a taste for mystery and cultivate it assiduously. Also loving game, you count on your penetrating intuition to solve your problems. Hating to make suffer or to see suffer, you show strong masochistic tendencies.• Your affective life ordinarily swings between intense joys and profound sorrows. Romantic love takes on great importance in your destiny. You possess within yourself treasures of affection which you profusely lavish on your beloved one and your children.Sun in Pisces and Moon in TaurusThe combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a personality that is highly sociable, and one that clearly possesses a good bit of social tact. You're a sensitive person, but you likewise have an acute sense of the other person's feelings and sensitivities, and you therefore are a very agreeable person that avoids hurting anyone--that is until you're opposed--and then you can get very stubborn. In other words, you are easy to get along with; you don't impose on people, but you definitely won't allow yourself to be imposed on either. You feel that debts have to be kept even, and even in a social sense, you don't like to feel that you owe anyone. This may be because you are a little bit unsure of yourself, and want to make sure you say and do the right thing. This combination blends the Pisces understanding, sensitivity, and a sense of adaptability, with the practicality and determination of Taurus. The two signs blend well, and are mutually strengthening to one another. This pairing allows coexistence of an easy-going nature, yet one possessing a stability and tenacity of will not often found in the Pisces native. You have a staying power and a control over impulsiveness that allows you to take things in stride, and you seem to have a simple and efficient way of getting things done. Nonetheless, there is apt to be considerable sensitivity in your nature, and surely a great deal of feeling for things and people. This is a combination that very often produces talent in an artistic or musical sense. Both signs are creatively imaginative and suited for a career in the arts. The social attitude of this pairing provides a deep consideration of others that is very beneficial to success in a wide range of endeavors, business and professional.Moon in Taurus and Cancer AscendantYour Moon in Taurus suggests that you are very comfortable providing solace and support to others, because you have a solid inner foundation. You draw your strength from flowing with the natural cycles and rhythms of the earth. When out of balance and out of contact with the land and natural forces, you become overly attached to security in the form of money or trying to ensure that nothing ever changes in your small part of the world. Being peaceful is an important aspect of your contribution to life.Info gathered from: http://www.astrology-numerology.comhttp://www.sexualastrology.comhttp://www.cafeastrology.com Skip to next post

Re: Fauna Blake: Sixth Year Hufflepuff Reply #1 on February 06, 2009, 11:56:09 PM Accepted ~ AnalizaAbout You, the WriterYour Nickname: ElleHave you read and do you agree to the Code of Conduct?: Yep!How did you find us and decide to write with us? Re: Fauna Blake: Special Title Reply #2 on February 07, 2009, 12:22:26 AM Accepted![Character Name:] Fauna Blake[Title Applying For:] President of the Hogwarts Art Appreciation Club[link to Accepted Biography:] See signature[How Has Your Past Prepared You For This Honor?:]Fauna began an informal art club in the Spring of 2008 for the purpose of honoring Remembering Day. Skip to next post

Re: Fauna Blake: Seventh Year Hufflepuff Reply #4 on February 02, 2010, 01:51:02 AM AstrologyBorn: February 20, 1991, at 1:20 pmSun: PiscesMoon: TaurusAscendant: CancerMercury: AquariusVenus: PiscesSun in PiscesAs the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces contains within itself a little experience of all the signs.
