Fauna stared at the reporter, a little horrified at her assumption that she and Raine were Xavier's girlfriends, but then recovered with a dramatic eye roll as Yukawa speculated on sexuality. Her gaze turned to Xavier as he began to explain, and she raised her eyebrows, dreading his assessment of her, especially considering how much he'd had to drink. She couldn't expect him to have a filter.
But Xavier responded with surprising grace, calling her a Quidditch rival, of all things.
She blinked.
"Oh no," she rested her forehead on her palm as she shook her head. "Not really. I mean, it was an accident," she blushed, transported back in time to feeling like that Hogwarts student who had really, truly, accidentally bludgeoned Callum with a bludger.
She smiled at the strange compliment, though, and glanced at Raine, taking a moment to catch on to her plan.
"Right, um, dancing," she nodded. "Dancing is great."
Fauna hopped off the stool and gave Deveraux an assessing look. Who cared about his sexuality - was he a gentleman?
"Want to join them?"
She held out a hand, and moved to the dance floor, blaming her persistent blush on the alcohol.
Fin!
