A server at the coffee house Akiva Katz frequents, Jason was kidnapped and his hair used in the polyjuice potion drunk by Cináed Tawse during the Akiva Katz Kidnapping. As the young man lived alone, his absence would go, largely, unnoticed.
He was held the entire time Akiva held hostage and for a few days afterwards. Throughout Akiva's kidnapping, Cináed continued to take the polyjuice potion and show up for shifts at the coffee shop until the manager fired him. Still in diguise, Cináed told Jason's friends that he was moving to Leeds where he died during a house fire.
Drinking and falling asleep with a lit cigarette was ruled the cause of the fire.
