Lupa Whistle

A Lupa Whistle - also known more derogatorily as a Wolf Whistle or Dog Whistle - is a hunting aid used primarily by Werewolf Hunters such as those in the Werewolf Capture Unit.

It is a restricted item and made by only a few Enchanters in Europe. The whistle is carved of wolf bone and treated in a magical solution, to which the recipe is a closely guarded secret.

Uses

When blown, the Lupa Whistle emits a sound that aggravates werewolf ears. It is used to attract and bait werewolves. The sound can only be heard by transformed werewolves within a radius of about half a mile.

The whistle is used by experienced Hunters, as younger Hunters are less likely to be able to handle a baited or antagonised werewolf.
