Northern Ireland is one of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. It is located at the north east tip of the island of Ireland, and shares this island with the Republic of Ireland. Ballycastle is located here which is home to the Ballycastle Bats Quidditch team.<ref name="qta">Template:QTA</ref>
Northern Irish witches and wizards have the option to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Scotland.
