Colin Downer is an Unspeakable with the Department of Mysteries, studying the creation of ghosts, zombies, Inferi and death's effects in general. He's a little too into this for most people's tastes, and much of his work is rather Frankenstein-like in nature.
He is a registered werewolf. An April 2009, he was kidnapped by Dugan Macduff and held prisoner in MacDuff's flat for several days. There he was bitten by MacDuff, making Downer the first werewolf to be turned dire.
He's currently been roped into assisting the WCU and Aurors with MacDuff's capture.
