| TOCrightWhen an old man dies suddenly in the Three Broomsticks, very little seems suspicious at first. | Waitress Bethan Ellis is hoping for a break in her usual routine when Cursebreaker Raizel Cohen stops into the Three Broomsticks for a quiet lunch -- but the day turns out to be anything but routine or quiet when a mysterious visitor delivers a strange music box to a customer at the bar. When the box is opened, a strange creature escapes and attacks the people present. An old man dies, Aurors arrive, and Raizel and Bethan are both left facing the start of a decades-old mystery.

| But he hadn't just died, she realized as she set the bottle down and angled her head to peer at the old man's body over the counter of the bar. He had been killed. There had been that strange hooded figure, who had apparated away as soon as he'd spoken to the man; as soon as he'd realized that anyone else had been watching. And then the dybbuk had been released. A chill ran down Raizel's spine, and she shot a glance back toward the door of the tavern. But no one was there now; whoever had brought the dybbuk to the old wizard, it seemed that his flight had been genuine.|author=Raizel Cohen}}

| After being questioned by the Aurors, Raizel Cohen is finally allowed to leave -- and she goes back to Gringotts with the strange music box that she quietly took from the Three Broomsticks. Alone in her office, she examines it for more clues.

| For many, Harrison's name might be lost to history. For the last decade or so, Harrison lived a life of obscurity mainly consisting of frequent visits to his local pub. But for those more versed in the dark times of Gellert Grindelwald's reign of terror, Harrison's is a name synonymous with a war hero, a warlock of the highest esteem. As a young wizard, Harrison infiltrated Grindelwald's followers and became instrumental in the events that ultimately lead to his defeat. |author=Niobe Thursby}}

| | |
| After reading about Harrison's death in the Prophet, his old school friend Xiomara Hooch immediately sets off to find the young barmaid who witnessed his last minutes in order to get answers. Bethan recounts the tale and reveals to Hooch that it was no Dementor (as the Prophet told), but rather a dybbuk. And that there was a mysterious man at the scene.

| Shamera felt more of a sense of urgency to find the artifact she needed. After gaining access to the display room, she searched for what she came for. That object was a ring. Previously regarded as just an old belonging to Grindelwald, recently they (being her extended family) had revealed that it had information regarding a weapon of some sort that had been developed by Grindelwald himself. |author=Shamera Harvey}}

| Raizel Cohen hasn't been able to let Harrison's death go. She takes her research into the mysterious numbers engraved on the bottom of the music box to Alohomocha, where she meets fellow history enthusiast Jacoba Schlagenweit. But it turns out that Jacoba has more of a tie to Harrison's past than either woman would have suspected, when they discover a Schlagenweit relative -- whom Jacoba had always assumed was a Muggle -- present in a photo showing Grindelwald supporters.

| It's been several weeks since the incident in the Three Broomsticks, and the Aurors have decided to classify Harrison's death as a heart attack. Still convinced there must be something more to it, Raizel returns to the pub in order to ask Bethan to help her investigate on their own. They agree to attend the HHUUG Benefit in honor of Harrison together.
