Pinebrook Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Pinebrook is Canada's primary magical academy, and includes native Canadian magic.

Location

Hamner, Ontario, Canada

Located deep in the forests, just outside Sudbury. The school is hidden from muggles mostly by way of the natural scenery, but also has typical magical protections.

There is an underground tram that travels between Pinebrook and The Under, the tram is only operational for school purposes (beginning of term, Christmas holidays, end of year) Only Pinebrook staff and The Under officials are able to operate the tram.

Facilities

The main campus is set up like a standard college campus with the dormitories in separate buildings. Dormitories are separated by gender and year. Each dorm has six floor, one for each year with a common room on each floor. Each dorm room houses two students. The grounds feature a qudditch pitch, several greenhouses as well as an animal sanctuary used primarily for Care of Magical creatures, including an ice cave for a rare collection of Ice Gnomes.

Academics

Since Canada was once a British colony the curriculum doesn't differ that much from what is offered at Hogwarts.
