Arianne Ophélie Desrosiers is a proper, well respectable lady with a noble pureblood ancestry in the eyes of most of the wizarding society. By the standards of many, she could be called an accomplished young lady. She is fairly proficient and knowledgeable in the fine arts and the gears that put wizarding society in motion. Coupled with her charming persona and her efficient work ethics, it makes her a proficient Events Coordinator. However, she holds another face, one that is not known by many, a face that is more appropriate for the nightlife.
History
On June the 2oth 1982, a girl with a blonde tuft of hair and cerulean blue eyes was born. Mélisande would name her Arianne Ophélie. The girl was shy and obedient, yet always smiling. She was sensitive and attentive, and always aiming to please her parents, however the two of them were very different and she obviously favored her mother. She grew up in a strict, but loving family always surrounded by strangers, acquaintances of her mother and father that graced them with their presence at the various dinners, soirees and dances Mélisande was throwing weekly. She was polite and accomplished, studying various arts since a young age and being tutored at home to prepare her for her education at Beauxbatons. Everybody thought her a marvelous little girl, she herself however was always insecure and seeking acknowledgement from both of her parents, mostly though, it only came from her mother.
As a young student she still struggled to please both of her parents, each of whom had different plans for her and different views on how to raise a child. Her father, pushed her to strive in her educational training and magical abilities, her mother, on the other hand, the perfect example of an accomplished French society witch, had wanted her to be the perfect lady. The tug of war finally ended when Arianne entered the lycée, when she had decided a woman has more use of her charms and graces than of her academical skills.
Her collége years passed quickly and held no real importance to her life. She had studied meticulously, earning her praise from her professors, she was polite and sociable to her peers, but formed no real attachments with any of them and she had no idea what she wanted from her life.
Her teenage years, however, are a different matter altogether. She had decided to take the minimum magical classes, namely all those related to wandwork and potions and focus more on Dance, Arts, Music, Languages, Literature and focus more on her oratory skills. Of course, one could not have them all, so choosing the Fine Arts in detriment of the more practical subjects, had made her choose only such artistic subjects in her secondary education, leaving her knowledge of some of the magical aspects of the world in quite an average standing. Her knowledge in arithmancy or runes, astronomy and even defensive or healing spells remains at the level of the collége curriculum
She was also made President of the Fine Arts club, experience that had given her a taste of what it meant to hold power, to organize and plan, experience that would prove quintessential to her future. By her last year she was considered the reigning queen of her year. She was beautiful, popular, sociable, respectful, hard-working and most of her professors and colleagues thought highly of her. On the other side however, some of her peers considered her shallow and professors that used to teach her in the collége felt she had wasted her future with her choices. She graduated with full marks in all her subjects and returned to Rouen to decide what she truly wanted to do with her life.
Upon finishing her education she moved to Paris, where she's had quite some experiences. Sure, she had entered all the circles of importance with no problems and made quite an impression amongst them, but Paris also offered the most amazing experiences by night. She soon found herself in a rather dubious group of people and discovered life wasn't made only of manners and grace. During her two year stay in Paris she had made a name for herself in the pureblood society during the day, but also indulged in debauchery after debauchery, during the night. Not many know of what actually happened behind the scenes of her Paris nightlife, and she never cared to share with anybody in particular.
By day however, she had managed to catch the eye of a certain, very high-profile lady of society that promptly took her under her wing. Madame Rousseau had initiated the girl in the arts of planning, probably the only pastime of unemployed society ladies in the wizarding world. Word of her success had gotten to her former professors at Beauxbatons and she found herself reading a letter, inviting her to occupy a position as an educator at her Alma Mater. Soon after that, Arienne Ophélie Desrosiers, or Mlle Desrosiers, as she started going by, was the new addition to the Beauxbatons staff. Despite her contract stating she'd teach Etiquette, however she often found herself substituting for Dance, Music, Languages, Art and Rhetoric Professors on more than one occasion. As the years passed, the interest in the fair arts diminished, and Beauxbatons was always lacking a resident professor for one or two subjects. She hasn't been teaching for that long now, but she finds the years tend to go faster when always in the presence of young-ins
At the end of the last term the school board notified her she would be joining the lycée students in Scotland for the TetraWizard Tournament at Hogwarts. She had been more than pleased at the news, she remembered she had a younger cousin studying at the school that she was anxious to meet. And she was dying to take a break from the younger kids -they were, really such a pain. Besides, the idea of fraternizing with people from a foreign country seemed stupendous. The board, also kindly noticed her that because of financial reasons as well as not wanting "to subject our more... elderly professors to such a capricious climate".
However, coming to the UK has certainly had a big impact on Arianne's life. Freed from the constraints of her family's expectations, as well as meeting the completely different educational environment of Hogwarts, have made her take a good look at her life choices and what direction would they lead her in. And upon closer inspection she did not like what she saw. Not at all. She saw herself old and wrinkled, stiff and lonely, surrounded by gray, cold walls and obnoxious children, her youth wasted and the life sucked out of her. To make matters worse, seeing her cousin practically living his life dream, while she was growing more and more miserable each day spent between the walls of Hogwarts, had eventually made her crack.
So, on one dreary end of January day she awoke in the middle of the night, made herself a coffee, started writing her resignation and packed her bags. And so with absolutely no plans for the future (but enough money in her vault, to not even have to worry about it) she handed in the papers, no notice whatsoever and walked out of the academical life with what must've been the happiest smile of her life.
