Le Masquerade is one of London's most exclusive establishments. Owned by Éloi Derosiers, its existence is a guarded secret, and entrance is only permitted to those who have been invited, provided they pass the interview process. With such a stringent process in place, those who attend it are the finest the wizarding world has to offer, and the enjoyment to be had certainly reflects that!
With the prestige of its members in mind, or possibly the scale of the festivities, another strictly observed rule is that all attendees must wear masks in order to hide their identities, and use only a first name, whether it is theirs or not. Confidentiality over any indiscretions that may take place is, of course, assured, as the club's purpose is to provide an environment where all may act without fear of repercussions.
