Morcant is a Fae who runs a shop of rare items and antiques in the Hag Market. He wears well-cut but old tweed suits, and carries with him the smell of book dust and brimstone.

His manner is bookish, dry and grumpy - lightened by touches of manic whimsy that endear him to few. Morcant has a great love for all things old, though his memory of the past seems patchy.

He abhors the mistreatment of creatures and harbours deep dislike for modern day muggles. As a rule he does not interfere with wix affairs. To other Fae, Morcant has a reputation for being crotchety and unpredictable. He is well-known to significant figures in the Hag Market.

History

Prior to current circumstances, Morcant has been known by many other names over the centuries.

He is originally a Fae of north-west Wales and has played a part in various local mythologies. Historically, he is emblematic of the Welsh red dragon. In legend, Morcant was responsible for the destruction of the Anglo-Saxon white dragon, an act he deeply regrets.

Fae Form

Morcant’s true form is that of a brass red dragon, which can only be taken when he is at or near his dwelling in Dinas Emrys, Wales.

Fae Powers

In addition to typical Fae abilities, Morcant can shapeshift into various small reptiles.

As Fae powers are connected to their homes in nature, much of Morcant's powers are only accessible at Dinas Emrys, which is a historical/protected site. When threatened, this is where Morcant will flee.
