She knew he was trying to insult her, but she couldn't help giggling a little when Casey mentioned kicking a dark lord as a toddler, "N-no, a-actually," she made a small grimace, "I s-sorta thought I c-could fl-fly, and I climbed a tr-tree and e-ended up falling into a r-rusted wh-wheelbarrow." She glanced at the ground, "I wish it were from something as cool as kicking a dark lord in the face... That would have been epic." She dragged her toe across the carpet idly.

"Well, of course." she'd read about vampires in a few different books, along with werewolves, and all sorts of other magical creatures. She didn't know much, but she knew the basics on them. "R-regardless, in the event of-of me being t-turned, I doubt I would see the v-vampire's blood."

"I-I c-can't h-help my st-stutter." she whimpered. At least he didn't seem to remember the instances where nothing came out, she thought.

She thought she could fly so she fell out of a tree? Now she was practically begging to be humiliated if she had to explain everything with her most embarrassing details. That one was so obvious even Casey wasn't going to touch it. Maybe one comment. "Honstly, buy a broom."

"So you stutter. How very odd indeed. I thought for sure most kids get out of their stutters by second year, unless they're slow. You can't have stutter if you're going to have random things poking out of your lip, it could rip loose."

The thought gave him shivers again, so he dropped it.

"I-I was six at the time." She thought seriously about sticking her tongue out at him, but decided to abstain.

She glared slightly when he suggested she were slow somehow, fiddling with the back of her lipstud with her tongue, causing it to poke out, "It won't rip loose f-from stuttering."

"It's bolted in there good, then? Lucky you."

After another once over, Casey had gleamed that Spicer was inttending to keep these design changes. He wondered for a brief moment what the others at school would think, especially her House of Hufflepuff. You didn't see standouts in the Babger collective...except maybe that fish freak or the spotted hair girl...never mind, she'd still have people who looked as odd as her in her house.

Having spent all the teasing he could muster, Casey returned to the task he had set himself to do. He climbed down the remainder of the ladder. Finding another gap near the ceiling a few shelves off, Casey begaain pushing the ladder.

"Scooch!" he comanded of Wren, to get her out of the way.
