Figaro just couldn't look away. He just stood there as different students just kept fronting Kesali and Kesali kept fronting back. He just didn't have it in him to walk away to safety like many of his better classmates, he just had to stand there and stare with his mouth shut looking back and forth from the sorry sods.
When the professor did an all-call for students to volunteer to take off points, Figaro had to resist raising his hand out of facetiousness. Maybe he was growing up. Maybe he felt sorry for Kesali. Maybe he just knew better than to lose another bundle of points from Hufflepuff because Merlin knew he already did enough of that.
Tensions were clearly high in this castle and everyone was taking advantage of this bizarre moment to explode. He winced and mumbled, "this is a train wreck. Fumbling fantastic." Definitely deserved an article in the Howler...
