As you approach number 82 on Knockturn Alley, you will be graced with the sight of an imposing two storey building, lavishly built in the Baroque architectural style. That is, of course, if you know where to look at. To the unassuming eye, we're just a decrepit old store, but if you are in need of us, we'll show ourselves to you.

As you approach the building you will surely be in awe at the beauty of our elegant entry -the only one we have, as a matter of fact -, framed by sculptures of the gracious nine muses. Politely ask admittance to the muses, flattery will get you everywhere. Between you and I they're rather petulant... do try to ignore them if they curse you, flirt with you or bore you with tedious history and tragic poems. And if you ever encounter trouble trying to pass through the doors, due to one of their tantrum, kindly ask Polyhymnia to help you, she's the most well-behaved of the nine. Oh, she's the one with the veil.

Well, now, let's move along. Once you have passed the doors, you will find yourself in our small foyer. Midnight blue damask wallpaper decorates our tall walls, while everything else is touched in gold and, yet again, blue. In the foyer you will notice the reception desk towering over the rest of the room on a tall dais, to the far right we have a small, but well-organized coat check, and to the far right another beautiful gilded door, this time guarded by two of our most trusted guards.

Whether you are entering this room for the first time or you are returning to it, you will be greeted by our receptionist. She will greet you with a charming smile and instruct you in the ways of "Le Masquerade", if you are a first time client. Now, if she is busy, you can check in your coat or wait on one of the sofas lining the wall. They are most comfortable, we promise. The blue China silk is most divine! And, if the line is long, we will apologize by offering you a complimentary Daiquiri. Just keep your eyes on the coffee table, next to this brochure. It will pop up after ten minutes of waiting!

We could not possibly let just anyone waltz in, so if our security detail and our dear receptionist do not deem you worthy of entrance... Surely you are sympathetic? Now, we call ourselves "Le Masquerade" for a reason... Everyone at our club is required to wear a mask. Be a stranger for a night, so if you do not have a mask in your possession, or receptionist will offer you one. You can also procure Polyjuice Potion from our lovely receptionist, to better aid you with your anonymity.

T H E  GRAND HALL

If you are good to go, the guards will open the barrier and you may enter the club. Once past the foyer, you will enter our elegant, opulent Grand Hall—still keeping true to our love of gold and blue. You will be greeted by our Maître d', waiting on the left of the entry, who will kindly guide you to one of the many tables arranged along the left and right walls of the hall. Or, if you prefer to be seated at the bar, you will certainly notice it soon as it is immediately to the right of the entry. We are very well stocked, and if you do not find your favorite cocktail on our menu, rest assured that our capable bartenders will be able to satisfy your more unusual demands.

Perhaps our most interesting point of attraction is our stage that takes up the entire wall in the far back. If you are a connoisseur, surely you will notice the resemblance to the stage at the "Opéra National de Paris", except, of course, our curtains are blue. We really do love blue around here! By now, you will have noticed that, such as yourself, everyone wears masks in our club and we do not have last names at "Le Masquerade". You may find more about that in the Code of Conduct annexed to this brochure. If you have been seated at a table, a waiter will soon arrive to take your order. We are first and foremost a cabaret club, however among our staff we count a Michelin decorated chef! And given that our parties stretch on until the early hours of the morning, the kitchen is open at all times, and whatever possibilities are on our menu will always be available. You can expect a French menu during the week. And during the Friday and Saturday parties we prefer to opt for a buffet.

You will have surely observed we are great lovers of dancing seeing our very spacious dance floor. The music will surely tempt you to take a spin or too. During the week we have a live band playing at all times. You can expect jazz and swing, and of course French music. On special occasions, you will also have the absolute pleasure of listening to our own enigmatic Simone Piaf. The perfect blend of jazz and blues, with a raspy sensual voice reminiscent of the grand "La Môme", she will surely enchant you and captivate you. During the weekend however, when the party is at its wildest points we prefer recorded music of all sorts of genres both muggle and wizarding. On Monday night, we always entertain a concert or two.

To the right of the stage you will notice a grand door, that politely announces you through a sign of its use. The sign says "Restroom". I think the purpose of the room is fairly evident. If not, our greeters will be helping you at the door. Ladies will find our greeter perhaps most useful—please entrust the retouching of your appearance to her, if you are in need of any.

T H E  P R I V A T E  R O O M S

At the middle of the room, on both the right and left side, you will find two more doors each with an attendant ready to be of service. These are the entries that lead to the private rooms. If you do not know by now, our private rooms, are truly private. There are no rules in the rooms, there is no code of conduct in the rooms. What happens there, stays there. The rooms are silenced to the outside, locked solely to the party assigned to it and are constantly checked for any sort of contraption that might pose a threat to your privacy. They are also the only places you may denounce your anonimity. Our attendants will guide you and your party to one of the rooms, by indicating it's name. They carry the names of the Queens and Kings of France. So were you to be sent to "The Louis XIV", you only need look for the sign on the door.

Each private room is a standalone sitting room, complete with its own bar that you may address your orders to. There's armchairs, sofas, chaises, coffee tables, all ready to be transfigured for your purpose. In case you need more... space and variety. There's enough room for dancing as well. And in the corner of each room you will find a small library and a desk, for those that prefer more... intellectual pastimes. The desk is sturdy, we assure you. A restroom can be found at the end of the hallway, as well as another attendant that you may address you requests too. We are open to all requests, if there's something you require in your room that is not there, our attendant will make sure to serve you. Some would like food, a birthday cake, a board game... We've even had stranger requests, such as ribbons, ties and belts... Well, whatever it might be, our employees will try to provide.

T H E  S E C O N D  S T O R E Y

Back to the Grand Hall. To the left of the stage you will notice a stairway, separated by a barrier rope and guarded by two of our employees. The stairs lead to the second storey which holds the staff area to the right - it is severely guarded against trespassers, please do not try to enter it, unless you have access - while to the left you will find the VIP area. It encloses a small bar, a dancing area and more private rooms. In all honesty unless you are a VIP or part of the staff, you will have no business climbing those stairs.

Eh bien! This concludes the tour of "Le Masquerade". We hope you will enjoy our venue as much as we do! If you have any sort of questions please refer them to our receptionist, she will either answer them yourself or put you in touch with the right staff member.
