No Trace in Musgrave Disappearance

There have been no further leads in the disappearance of disgraced former auror, Lawrence Musgrave, who absconded from court custody a month ago, three weeks into his high-profile trial. Though there have been copious reports of sightings, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has confirmed that enquiries point towards all potential sightings being false positives, spurred by public concern.
An internal investigation into how two bogus mediwix were able to take charge of the situation have led to the resignation of a court custody officer responsible, but the identity of the two disguised accomplices has still not been discovered. Meanwhile all close associates and family members investigated by aurors have confirmed solid alibis, with multiple witnesses that place them elsewhere, something which an inside source has claimed as ‘ironically convenient’.
Public attention has shifted in court to the ongoing trial of former Minister for Magic, Edwin Glass. Witnesses in the stand have recently answered that Glass ordered the obliviation of Musgrave ahead of treatment in St Mungo’s to remove incriminating memories that would implicate Glass.
