[Jan 10] Papa Don't Preach [Mr&Mrs Knight] on March 21, 2013, 09:54:56 PM Miss Sophia KnightRavenclaw TowerHogwartsFather and MotherMoonmoth HallLondon, UKMother and Father,I wish I were writing you in happier terms, but something horrible has happened. No. Rowena is fine. (Other than getting frozen in Charms class, she's doing just fine.)Lucas Trumble, the boy that I was dancing with and one of my closest friends is now motherless. His mother was the one I was reading about in the paper, who was sent to Azkaban for withholding wolfbane from one of his siblings who is a werewolf. Lucas is not. (At least not to my knowledge) I'm heartbroken. He is beside himself, and so very upset. I honestly don't know what to do, so I did the first thing that came to mind. Wrote home. Father, I don't know if there is anything that you can do, but I know you will try won't you? Mother, I couldn't imagine not having you in my life. And this whole thing is hitting too close to home, because....well....you know. Any advise would be wonderful. I miss you both, and love you very much.~Sophia Skip to next post Re: [Jan 10] Papa Don't Preach [Mr&Mrs Knight] Reply #1 on March 23, 2013, 08:45:28 PM There's several small packages delivered along with the letter.Aisling KnightMoonmoth HallLondon, UKJanuary 11Sophia,I'm terribly saddened to hear of Mr. Trumble's troubles. He seemed such a nice young man, and no child deserves the pain of being separated from their parents. We will of course look into seeing if there is anything that can be done, but the charges that you have mentioned are quite serious and I fear that there may be little we can do.So far as what you may be able to do to aid him, the best advice I can offer is to be a kind and patient friend. And I have no doubt that you are already doing so. Such support is often how one survives such trials, as I can attest to from more experience than either of us wishes to think of.The packages are for Lucas, if he would like them. They contain much the same as those which I sent you before, which I hope you or your sister have not eaten all of already. Speaking of your sister, she did not mention this freezing incident to me. I presume this means she is well recovered from it? You know how I worry. I hope that you will have a letter from your father soon as well, but you are aware of how unfortunately busy he can be at times. We both miss you and Rowena dearly. With all my love,~Aisling Skip to next post Re: [Jan 10] Papa Don't Preach [Mr&Mrs Knight] Reply #2 on March 25, 2013, 10:41:41 AM Tarron KnightMoonmoth HallLondon, UKMiss Sophia KnightRavenclaw TowerHogwarts School of Witchcraft and WizardryScotland, UKJanuary the 12thMy dearest Sophia, You may rest well-assured that I am doing all in my power to look into this matter on behalf of you and your young friend. I cannot promise or guarantee any happy outcome to this, however, as the charges raised against Mrs. Trumble are of a serious nature. Should that be the case, I will do my utmost to ensure the arrangements made for the boy are of an acceptable nature to all involved. I am sure your mother’s letter delves further into things and, I should hope, touches on your mention of Rowena’s ‘freezing incident’. Please do elaborate on that for her, otherwise I shall hear about it until one of you tells her. Please wish young Lucas the best. Friendship will see us through the most trying of times, and so I do hope you are able to convey your own aid to Mr. Trumble. Should he have any questions for me, do let him know he can write to me if he feels it is necessary. Tarron Z M A Knight, CW. I just hope that all can be put to rest quickly. I finally had a talk with Lucas and did a little research of my own on the crimes she committed. I fear they are of a serious nature, though one only punishable by length of ten years. I would worry now of her sanity when she comes out, for obvious reasons. Lucas has a step father, but with one income and nearly 8 children. I do not think he will be able to raise them all on his own. I have not told Lucas this, but that is my internal concern. I have kept my opinions to myself, and now share them with you.Mother's letter is enclosed.Mother,Rowena is fine, I think her pride is wounded more than her body. Though I have to say the entire thing was a bit comical. She is doing much better in Charms, and is excelling wonderful in Potions. I will give Lucas your gifts, and know he will be thankful. Thank you both. I miss you dearly.~Sophia Skip to next post Re: [Jan 10] Papa Don't Preach [Mr&Mrs Knight] Reply #4 on April 22, 2013, 11:31:46 AM Aisling KnightMoonmoth HallLondon, UKJanuary 15Sophia, Thank you, it is good to hear about your sister. As much as I know that some accidents happen, I cannot help worrying about you both when I hear of them. I hope your studies are also going well. Do let me know if there are any books or equipment that would be helpful.I've finally stopped finding cat hair about. I rather miss it, in truth, as it meant that both of you were about. As important as your schooling is, I do look forward to the summer when I may see you again. It is so very quiet here without you, and even my work has not been too busy, though I do not expect that to last for long. The garden is lovely today, and so I have spent much of the evening reading within it. Perhaps I'll send you a picture with my next letter, as I'm intending to plant a few more herbs over the weekend. Do let me know if there is anything further I can do to aid Lucas.Love,~Aisling Skip to next post
