It was great to be back at Hogwarts as it was her home away from home, but wasn’t it for every other student here? Astrid didn’t think she felt something special for Hogwarts it was just a natural reaction from boarding school, but it had yet to sink in that this was her final year. Astrid was determined not to think of it like that until she was at least past the winter holidays.

The feast last night had been great and classes had started early this morning, well not as early for her considering the schedule she had managed to be graced with. Astrid had just finished Transfiguration with a bounce in her step. Her bag hung off her shoulder as she started to navigate her ways through corridors for study break. Classes were over today and the new first years were settling in just fine, granted Astrid had already seen a few dazed and confused by the expansive network of corridors. She walked past one who stood at the bottom of the stairs. “Watch the third step it disappears.” Astrid chuckled as she ran up the steps doing the less than elegant leap over the third step.

The first floor was where it happened she dropped her bag and sat on the ground pulling open her sketchbook and was lost in a sketch she had no control over. She sat there for what seemed like a few minutes as her hand quickly sketched out a picture. It was at least fifteen minutes before the sketch was finished, a roughly done one at that. She came back to the world where only first years and few of the younger years looked at her confused. Flustered and embarrassed she collected her things quickly and ran down the hallway, a tint of pink to her cheeks. She hated it when that happened she had no control over it and had no idea what it meant.

Astrid stopped at a windowsill, hopped up and looked at the sketch she had just drawn. Her heart racing and her mind confused of what this was. If she wasn’t the first time this had happened, but she had not expected it to happen the first day. She was lost in the picture staring at the shadowy figure lurking in a window. “What?” She whispered.
