THE GRUMMAN FAMILY

About the Name:
A variant of the German hereditary surname, Grauman, with a two-fold origin. The first being the English nickname ("grayman")for someone with grey hair or a grey beard derived from the Old English word, GROEG. Other variations include: Grueman, Garman.

The name is widely traveled and the Wizarding Grumman family can trace to Germanic roots. The family eventually moved to Siberia in a quest to attain seclusion, which they were afforded in abundance in the frosty locale. It proved to be a natural haven for hiding their affinity for and dabbling in the dark arts. Grummans through the years have proven to be proficient Dark Artists and faithful followers of powerful dark wizards like Voldelmort. Many have been suspected Death Eaters or have supported their causes financially, always careful to keep the connection difficult to trace.

Presently, the Grumman's from Russia have two remaining branches, descending from two brothers -- the "first" Orfeo and the "first" Artur. The family's ancestral home is "Tyen Manor" in Krasnoyarsk City, Siberia.

1905 ­ Angus Grumman marries Maria Krukova
1908 ­ 1st Son born
1911 ­ 2nd Son born
1915 ­ Orfeo Grumman born
1918 ­ Artur Grumman born; 1st son begins Durmstrang
1921 ­ 2nd son begins durmstrang
1925 ­ Orfeo begins durmstrang and all three boys begin to experiment with their magic on Artur; They also routinely blame their troublesome behavior on him and he is punished by Angus.
1926 ­ 1st son graduates Durmstrang
1928 ­ Artur begins Durmstrang
1929 ­ 2nd son graduates Durmstrang

1936 ­ Artur graduates Durmstrang; Activity with Grindlewald begins.

1945 ­ Grindelwald defeated by Albus Dumbledore; with the war over, the Grummans resume business as usual.
1952 ­ Merik Storm becomes headmaster of Durmstrang
1953 ­ Caspero [Orfeo1] and Orfeo [Artur1] Grumman are born.
1959 ­ Annalynn Grumman [Orfeo1] is born.
1963 ­ Artur kills his father, Angus, and his brother, Orfeo.
1970 ­ Voldemort rises to power in UK
1973 ­ Eloise [Artur1] Grumman is born.
1981 ­ Voldemort defeated at the Potter house
1985 ­ Melanthe Grumman [Orfeo2] and Shamera Harvey [Alexis] are born
1987 ­ Advenna Grumman [Caspero] is born
