Greyfriar House on January 29, 2011, 05:03:10 PM Knox Greyfriar's HouseTilberthwaite WoodThanington WithoutCanterburyKentKnox Greyfriar lives in a very small stone house in rural Kent. His house was built over 250 years ago by a wizard, and so it has the amenities of a traditional wizarding home, including the original person-sized fireplace built into the hearth. The house is hidden in the woods, in a deep thicket, and does not have a muggle mailing address as only wizards have lived there. Knox inherited the house from his old auntie.(It looks like the house pictured here (except no paved parking lot or roads nearby.)The house has two floors. The main room, including fireplace is only 15ft by 12ft. The usable upstairs space is even smaller because of the tight incline of the roof. The main room serves as the main living area with a large stone hearth which includes the fireplace and smaller nooks and ovens for cooking, all original to the original construction. His house is generally quite cluttered with papers and stacks of books and Daily Prophets. Clothing as well, and dishes. The stairway is creaky and tight. It leads up to a very tight hallway with three rooms: A den, which is no more than a glorified closet, only five feet wide and 7 feet long. The bathroom (installed during the modern era) has a tub, toilet and sink. Knox's bedroom has its own small fireplace, but not big enough to Floo.
