Loose Threads [Jan 20]

Judy's House, Hogsmeade

It was tiring, being a public figure - it was perhaps the only line of work where you could feel bad for slimming down.

Judy had, indeed, lost weight, due to her recent heart trouble, which meant she didn't fit very well into any of her previous evening gowns. With an event sponsored by her brother, the CAWW ambassador, on the horizon, that was now a problem she had to address.

She had asked Robyn to come up and take her measurements. The former student was someone she'd gone to before, and someone she trusted to do a good job - even if her decision not to finish her schooling was not to the professor's liking.

The professor came up to open the door, attired casually in black leggings and a plain navy-blue sweatshirt. Behind her trailed one of her orange cats.

"Come in quickly, before this little idiot makes his escape," she warned.

Robyn approached the door and knocked, she saw the professor now and then, she had helped her out alot in life going through the years, and she'd helped back, or atleast she hoped so, making dresses or fixing up outfits for her when she can, she knew that Judith wasn't happy with her choice to drop out of Hogwarts, but it was the best option for her ultimately.

Seeing the cat attempt its escape, she delicately redirected the kitty back into the house, before gently entering and closing the door behind her, looking up at her former professor as she did so, giving a soft smile.

"Don't worry, they're just excited to see me I'm sure." She says softly, before moving into the living room, pulling from her bag a dress she already had, but also her threads and measuring tapes, while she could use magic to have enchanted sets, she preferred to do it practically.

"So, just so you know before anything, I do have a dress, but its not custom made, I can adjust it to your size quickly, so at the very least you'd have a dress to wear if I cannot make anything in time. If that is all okay with you?" She says softly before turning around to her with a smile.

"You're looking good, how are you doing?" She asked with some concern in her voice, and the smile showing she was happy to see her.

"They're just looking for trouble," Judy replied. That was part of the problem with orange cats - they were sweet and tender, but with poor judgement.

"I definitely wouldn't say no to having a plan B. My brother would blow up if I showed up in jeans - which now that I think about it is kind of a good reason to do that."

She let out a little laugh.

"As you can see, I'm at the peak of my powers. Hardly had to miss any work, even with the procedure last summer."

Between her duties as head of Ravenclaw, and her program on the wireless, she kept busy. That was how she was wired, a worker bee to the last.

"Can I get you a quick coffee before we begin?"
