Monday, first thing
St. Mungo's Hospital

Athena Marrowbone, with that halo of chopped golden hair, came down the sunny corridor. Her white and teal healers' robes whipped around her heels, for her long strides moved her quickly and easily. An elf sped up along alongside her on an enchanted chart.

"Healer Marrowbone, good morning," came the elf's typically hoarse voice. She had a stack of paperwork with her, envelopes, memos, jars - anything that needed taken too and fro with any ugency.

"Aye up, Clever. Nothing that can't wait until I've had a cup, I hope."

"On the contrary, Healer, it's Mister Misslethorpe, you're to see him as soon as you get in. Straight away. First thing."

Athena laughed. "That so?"

Clever, ever the proverbial messenger, pursed her lips and accelerated her cart to intercept. "That is so, Healer. And you're going the wrong way."

Athena did stop then, her frame backlit in the sunny archway. She crossed her tattooed arms. Sandy Misslethorpe was number two to Miranda Storm these days. Top notch Spell Damage chap who had found a taste for nice suits and being in charge. He wasn't really the iron-wand sort, though, so a summons like this - something must be up.

"Is it a case? A good one?"

"Bit silly to keep asking me when Mister Misslethorpe is the one who knows," Clever replied huskily.

"Aren't you cheeky for a house elf."

"No, Healer. I'm not. Cheeky is in reception. I'm Clever. You better go now." With that Clever sped away on her cart to deliver more of her misfortunes.

Left with that shift off-balance, Athena stood still a moment and contemplated pretending the encounter hadn't happened and waiting for round two. After a second, she thought better of it and headed Misslethorpe's way. If it was something to do with a real emergency, it would have come by Patronus. A hiding over one of the Healers under her charge on Creature Injuries, that'd come through paperwork or Storm finding her for a hiding. No, something urgent and direct from old Sandy was odd and made her wonder if she'd finally been found out.
