The cry rang out and aft it all the sounds in the faux Terror Dungeons faded.

Then came the boom.

Beverly burst through the wall, which wasn't brick but brick painted on the back of greasy cardboard. Beverly was wielding a giant Blood Pop that had spent several days on a dirty floor like a war axe, smashing the walls and mirrors of the place. No glass shard flew, just the crumple of cardboard and the squelch of gooey bunches popping. There was an animalistic cry and the skittering sound as things retreated behind the walls.

And last to be whacked by Beverly's improvised weapon was the too-real-to-be-normal Drea. With a whack the Drea costume was flung off, like the super realistic looking masks pulled off at the end of an episode of Scooby-Doo revealing the phantasm Drea to be…

A snowman made out of rocky road ice cream. Hopefully it was just rocky road.

The rocky road snowman was just a puppet as something like a an electrical cord was yanked away with the retreating grotesque things behind the shammy dungeon walls of cardboard. The snowman deflated with the sound a balloon makes when it's being rude.

Beverly knelt down to the pile of ashes where a zombie looking version of Drea had once stood. She took a big breath and blew the dust away. A little Drea was standing there, looking perfectly fine if shrunk to the size of The Borrowers that lived in walls and boated down rivers in teapots.

"I've got you!" Beverly smiled, gently letting Drea climb into her paw. She set Drea up in one of her long bunny ears, protected. And then she charged up a big jump then they bounded…

Up…

Away…

And the nightmare was no longer there. Beverly was flying through the cosmos, Drea riding on her head. A cosmos not to scale with the billions of stars rushing past as milky stardust clouds rippled. Jupiter loomed up in front of them, though some of the moons were off. One looked to be made of cheese, one was just a pink frosted doughnut. An orange rocket built by Wallace and Gromit traveled in the opposite direction.

"Fun, huh?" Beverly said. "Be brave, Drea. Really brave if things ever look bad. You've got more people that care about you than you realize."

"And I won't always be able to come for you like this. But if you need me I'll come running."

It's hard to describe the sensation of being reborn from ash like a phoenix. If that was what even happened. All Obderedria knew is that when she was the most scared, Beverly had beaten back the monsters and they were now in the depths of the prettiest parts of space.

"Wait, what do you mean, Beverly? Are you going somewhere? I don't want you to--"

She slipped out of Beverly's ear, tumbled for a moment in the nighttime of endless stars. When she righted herself Beverly was off, seemingly back to normal size. Who had shrunk and who had grown? Perspective is space didn't mean anything when Obderedria didn't even know how far apart they were.

There was only the night--

…and that's all it had been. A dream of a sleeping figure within the Hufflepuff dorms. The dream that is both too real to be only a dream, yet too surreal to be waking life. Even in the magical world of Hogwarts.

The kind of dream where, sadly, not all is remembered the morning after.
