Kibbutz Erez

Founded by Dreogan Eleor, Sr. and colleagues, Kibbutz Erez was a socialist community (kibbutz) in Israel, comprised of both Muggles and Mages, called Kibbutz Erez. Situated in the Negev desert, to the world--not only Muggles--the kibbutz appeared to be a date farming community. The exact function of this kibbutz remained unknown to most of the world, but community was conducting controversial magical experiments by infusing objects with spells, which could be released by non-magic bearers when activated--effectively putting magic in the hands of Muggles. To this day, a variety of organizations, not all limited to the Near East, have expressed interest in the small community's research. Within the first decade of its establishment, there were a variety of skirmishes and abductions by hostile outsiders--the first of which was Dreogan Eleor, Sr. Eventually the Ministry in Jerusalem stepped in, ending the kibbutz with a resounding finality in 2000.

It would later be discovered that funding was primarily through an organized crime ring called, simply Topluluk ("group" in Turkish). When the business arrangement between Dreogan Sr. and Topluluk went sour, Dreogan Sr. was abducted and killed.
