It's 1692 and things are heating up in the Caribbean. Piracy is winding down, and ships are vying for control as the Statute of Secrecy goes into effect. Meanwhile, the Salem Witch Trials have just started up in Massachusetts Bay Colony and magical kin has to hide from Obliviators and witch hunters alike.

Captain Barnabas Cuffe has just been hired to steal a magical treasure in a far-off locale. But little do he and his crew know that the search for the treasure might be more than they bargained for...

In the Caribbean

  • St. Cyprian: a floating magical island with a bustling port town. It's not the most wretched hive of scum and villainy, but you'd do well to watch your step regardless.

  • East India Company: English trading company and colonial power with a Magical Division.

Other Things to Know

  • Bermuda Triangle Apparition Hex: Long-distance apparition is difficult in the Caribbean, making boats a necessity for getting around (even for wixes).
  • Statute of Secrecy: Enacted in early 1692, this has caused a lot of stress for the magical community as it's started to be enforced.
