Jonas Trevelyan is a Muggle-born Auror. He is notable for his unorthodox investigative skills, his familiarity with the Muggle world, and his tendency to make things (like the Visitor Entrance to the Ministry) explode.
Jonas joined the Auror Corps after graduating from Hogwarts in 1991. During the second war against Voldemort, he gave up magic and went into hiding as a Muggle to avoid being persecuted. After spending twelve years working as a private investigator in Exeter and London, he rejoined the Auror Corps in February 2009. He was instrumental in closing the Runespoor Smuggling investigation along with his partner, and is currently assigned to the Corpus Inversus murder investigation.
