British Magical Library

The British Magical Library is located in the muggle British Museum (London). It can be accessed through multiple entrances throughout the museum, visible only to magical beings. The library's interior is equal in overall size to the museum, with floors both above and below ground level. It is a public/state library and therefore available for perusal to all members of the magical community, although you will have to register for a library card.

The Head Librarian is a Sphinx and she alone understands the seemingly arbitrary system of organisation employed by the Library. You may or may not need to answer a riddle in order to get yourself a library card. It is HIGHLY inadvisable to return books past their due date.
