Wild Beings

From Absit Omen Lexicon

Wild Beings is a band made up of members, from different parts of the world, who know and are skilled in certain areas of many rare languages, including that of beasts. There is a lead a female member who speaks Parseltongue. Their music is made up of multilingual vocals, animal sounds, insect noises, and various percussion instruments, and they have been described as being soothing, uplifting, eerie, and just fun to dance to.

History

After the fall of Voldemort, the founding member, the Parseltongue, sought to make music out of many different languages worked for a long time to find a balance between un-offending Parseltongue and music, while working as a mazoologist. She succeeded in 2002, although was first met with much controversy in the UK, and was forced to preform with a snake and legilimens present in order to monitor what she was saying and thinking.

Eventually she travelled around the world, from the Mediterranean, India, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, and South America, where she began to accumulate like-minded and as-language-skilled members and who enjoyed her take on music and chose to join her. The band now comprises of many people and many skilled linguists, who's music became very popular on islands, and have been taking the UK by storm since 2007.

Their largest fanbase in the UK are composed of Purebloods and young teenagers, and while they are still controversial, are generally accepted into the community. They also work on many humanitarian projects on the side wherever they go, and their concerts are popular for featuring boa constrictors and incorporating them into dances.

Discography

(2003) Amorentia Shores

Being their debut album, they tackled a very common theme, love. However, it had a lot more meaning considering they had a band member with a Veela charm, and that many of the members, at the time, were single and always felt that "something should be defined about how undefining love can be." They proclaim, "there are no rules, breaks, or easy ways out, it can be a full-time job." The album goes through songs about falling in love, out of love, maturing, suffering from a broken heart, breaking hearts, using magical means to get your way, and what it all means by the end of the day.

What criticisms point out most about the album is that, while love is the driving theme of the album, the majority of the songs aren't terribly romantic, but that they're very passionate.

As a band, this album was a great stepping stone into the spotlight, but people seemed to uphold some expectation of the band continuing their musical exploration of love, which they did not do.

(2004) Rise of the Phoenix

A Collection of inspirational and lively pieces, often referred to as dramatic and loud, and like watching the play. The songs play with the idea of immortality, life and rebirth, and alludes to snake eating their tails and Phoenixes dying and being born from their ashes. Critics primarily attempt to point out that learning themes "if there really are any to learn"are overshadowed as to how collectively fun and engaging the album is to listen to.

(2005) Grim Moon

An eerie and spooky album, consisting of a lot of references to Halloween festivals and rituals. There was a lot of fuss over this album about whether or not the songs in it could somehow stimulate the effects or mimic the magical effects of the festival and rituals they portray in the album, leading to a lengthy and drawn out Inspection on the part of a lot of Ministries. At the time the album was made, this controversy was brought to the American Ministry's attention, and many other countries followed in suit. If there are any magical effects resulting of the album, it has yet to be proven.

Nonetheless the songs are listened to and played relentlessly during the month of October.

(2006) Graciously Confringed

A play on words of the spell Confringo

A festive album filled with catchy songs and is favorited to being preformed live due to the choreography. Naila Ferrari got a lot of attention for this, since, even though she had the Veela Charm, did not "steal the stage" and garner attention like she was infamously known for. The choreography is often complimented as being evenly and proportionally divided in terms of song and dance, and makes for a wonderous show, however some critics thought that Naila still held too much attention (coincidentally the latter are males.)

For some reason, before this album was preformed live, Naila had never been so widely criticized.

(2008) Transfigured Trills

A compilation of singles and individual songs the band has preformed over the years but that had never made it onto an album or been officially recorded. It is mostly an album of random songs where people have their favorite songs and some they just liked to listened to. Some people complained this album was a "filler" while others were happy and overjoyed that they recorded some of their less known pieces.

The Hidden Platforms

This track is about the different "platforms" (metaphorical) linking together different parts of the world and bringing together all the cultures and schools, referencing Hogwarts' Platform nine and three quarters. It also touches on the social and cultural barriers involved with trying to bring people together.

Stained Glass Sphinx

A lighthearted track posing a few questions on everyone's minds about the tournament, and just building up hype and excitement.

Desert Tides and Concrete Jungles

We Brothers Three

This song talks about bringing a "fourth," brother, referencing the Tales of Beedle Bard, and talking about involving Salem into the Tetra-Wizard Tournament. However the brothers and the story involved in the song very from the one of the Deathly Hallows.

We Build Our Own Castles

This song is a dedication to Hogwarts and its rough history, troubles, and ability to grow, learn, and adapt to its past. Features the growls and sounds of various reptiles, growls and sounds from a few mammals, drumming from animal tails and feet, Parsletongue, many alto to bass singing, and a few sopranos.

Faisons Jaillir des Étincelles

This song is a dedication to Beauxbatons and their wandwork skills and chivalry, and describes their elegance and etiquette that are infamous for starting formal duels, while still maintaining poise, dignity, and sportsmanship. Features alto to soprano voices, songs of various birds, Mermish singing, the beat of the wings of winged horses, and the tapping of horse's hooves against various surfaces.

Forhekse den Immaterielle Varige

This song is a dedication to Durmstrang and their strict discipline and ideals, and the witches and wizards they produce that are self-defining and ambitious. Features soprano female singing, bass male voices, clapping, and playing the tail feathers of phoenixes and other long feathered birds.

Motley-Magicked Fanatics

This song is a dedication to Salem and their tolerance of all types of blood purity and backgrounds and barely talks about their incorporation of muggle subjects, mostly because they want to focus on the institute as magical people. However they do mention achievements as well. Features plenty of tenor and bass singing, eagles for soprano sounds, many mammals for their growls and stomping, a few reptiles, and other kinds of stomping and clapping from animals.
