Weyland Norling is Alvis Norling's grandfather and would be the current head of the Norling family if they were the sort to keep up those kinds of traditions, which he's not. After graduating from Hogwarts a successful Ravenclaw, Weyland went into the business of making brooms -- not the mass-market sort, but one-of-a-kind handmade rides that "fit their owner like a wand." Though he his now largely retired, he will take up the old trade on a case-by-case basis, particularly special occasions. Weyland lives in Adderley, Shropshire with his wife and younger sister.
