Torquil Foley manages to makes himself accident prone enough to put himself into a perilous situation but is lucky enough to still be alive. His haphazard nature and objective approach to his work makes him fit for his job at the Daily Prophet. At the age of 61 he has a wife, five children, and a lot of enthusiasm to keep him going in his later years. He is usually accompanied by his gyrfalcon and peregrine falcon mix, Kamikaze "Kaz."
