Theobald Mainwaring was the former head of the Werewolf Capture Unit and former Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts.

Theobald is a tough and grizzled but wounded man, who hides his pain under duty and responsibility. He is an accomplished, decent and experienced wizard unafraid to fight for what he believes to be right although his character is marred by his temper and his tendency for vengeance.
