Tarelin is a friendly person, though he does his best to keep his personal and work lives separate, and the former most certainly takes a backseat to the latter. This does not mean he is unwilling to socialise with others, but he is definitely the first to suggest when play should end and work should begin. This attitude is one born out of a desire to impress, and to achieve his goal of becoming an Auror. When working in the field, he sticks close to his partner, often looking out for ambushes, keeping his wand drawn and ready with a protection charm in case. His patronus, a Turtle, symbolises his determination and his knowledge of defensive magic.
