Susan is a kind and gentle woman. She does have that side of her that isn’t all sugar and everything nice. She does get jealous and she does have a temper that mainly rages when you wrong a friend. She is loyal to her core and believes in giving people a chance.
Physical Description
Susan is a beautiful youthful looking woman. She has fair skin and blonde hair, and those stunning blue eyes. She has oval shaped face, and usually has some sort of smile on her face. Her face is a large portion of what expresses her emotion other than the way she sounds or interacts. She finds it hard to lie because her face tends to give her away. Her nose is a little pointy but it has never appeared too large for her face. She is quite happy with what she sees in the mirror.
Susan’s blonde hair is a bit wavy but nothing that gets too out of hand. It is usually worn loose around her face unless she is at work where it pulled back and out of the way. Susan generally only wears her hair up at work and then it is a bit messy, but she does often wear it up for special occasions or when she is warm. Her hair falls past her shoulders and stops near her breasts.
She has a slender body but does not have a lot of muscle tone. Susan was once very toned in the days when she played quidditch but she has started to lack some of that tone. She is still slender and has a shapely figure. She is of average height at about 5’6. Susan always wears clothing to compliment her shape and figure. Usually, unless it is a special occasion, Susan wears rather natural looking clothing; it is air and soft and loose fitting. She doesn’t wear dark colours all the often as she keeps to more natural tones or white. Susan comes across as having a rather earthy feel to her. She wears skirts or dress the majority of the time unless she is at work, sometimes though she is found in a nice loose fitting pair of jeans.
Some quirks about Susan’s appearance are the fact she doesn’t notice when she has dirt smudges over her cheeks or forehead from work. She also doesn’t notice when her hair is a complete mess. Susan has rather flexible feet much like that of a ballet dancer, and that also adds to her delicate nature. Susan’s gait is quiet and light footed, she is known for sneaking up on someone unintentionally. She has average sized steps and when she is barefoot the chances of hear her are extremely slim. She has been known to trip over her own feet from time to time, so calling her graceful wouldn’t exactly be true.
Susan stands with very good posture and when sitting it is almost perfect. She will slouch but only when she is nervous, uncomfortable, or not feeling 100 percent. She is conscious about her posture as it was instilled in her from her mother. She lets her eyes drop to the ground opposed to her head hanging down.
Susan’s voice is extremely warm and she is known for using British slang without thinking about it. When angry she is known for swearing like a sailor and gets rather embarrassed about it. Her voice is soft and can be called quiet, expect when she is excited because her voice will care loud and far. She speaks her mind so sometimes she slows down to think things over. Susan is known for pausing mid speech and sometimes can appear lost. She has a rather soothing voice, but it often carries a tone of curiosity.
Personality Description
Many may remember that innocent girl who just wandered the halls of Hogwarts and went about her own business. She was talkative with her friends but kept to her own circle. The innocence was forced to leave as tragedy struck her world, and her Aunt and hero died. This forced her to realize reality and not everything was fine like she would prefer to think. Sure Hogwarts had its trouble and she would stand beside those to fight for what she believed was right, but she was still innocent. When Cedric died it opened her eyes a bit more, but when her aunt died it really made her realize. At sixteen she started on the road that would lead her to who she is today. The war would also aid in showing her reality of life beyond Hogwarts walls. She was not able to turn a blind eye to the world anymore, and she had to face it right on. Her sweet innocence was disappearing slowly and was being replaced with confidence, assurance, and ability to cope with stressful and unpleasant situations.
Susan is friendly and warm. She has a gentle voice and compassion for plants, animals and peoples a like. Always loyal to her friends and employers, never wanting to hurt them or their trust because to Susan having people place trust in her is perhaps one of the most important things to her. Susan has been through the war and come to terms with the events that took place. She is confidant in who she is, and won’t let people bring her down. She likes to take the high road to anyone’s insult that they throw at her. She hopes to feel like she is bigger than that. Unfortunately sometimes the things they throw hit deep and she lets her emotions take over. She has a temper that can rage under the right circumstances. She hates to let people see this side of her, but sometimes it just has to happen. If you have wronged a friend of hers, you will see it far quicker than if you wrong her. Loyalty to her friends and family is perhaps her strongest trait. She will do anything to make sure friends and family are okay, and has on occasion lied to keep them from getting hurt. As she has grown she really believes you can never let someone push you around and she wont let anyone do that to her or someone she loves.
She was once a terrible flirter, but luckily it didn’t stop her getting her first kiss or from finding the person she loves. She was always shy when it came to people she liked so it shocks to this day that she made the first move with Ernie. After thinking she might lose him and when she found him she just acted. She has never regretted the decision she made to kiss him or to say yes to marry him. Susan is a rather romantic person and has grown very attached to Ernie. She is definitely the type to fall hard and that she did.
She can be a little simple; she is intelligent in what she does but it doesn’t mean she is the smartest about everything else. People can and have confused her, but she isn’t shy about asking for clarification because she enjoys the learning process. If you think her dumb or insult her when she asks she does feel a bit defeated but tries not to let it get to her. Astronomy and Herbology is where she flourishes and loves to share her wisdom when she can. You will perhaps see her at her most confident when she is explaining something about a plant.
Susan is a woman who is very in touch with her emotions, be they happy or sad. She is in touch with her fears, as strange or normal as they are. She knows what she likes and knows what she hates. Susan is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve and has had it broken before, but it was looked upon as a growing experience. Susan tries to find the silver lining to every tragedy but knows sometimes that is almost impossible. Susan tries to grow from most experiences but knows sometimes it is hard and she has slipped into depression in her time, at age sixteen that was a fine example.
Despite the confidence she feels she has she does get nervous from time to time especially when it is a serious topic. She knows that she needs to get serious and tense topics off her chest, but sometimes it is hard to start up the conversation. Susan sometimes sits on topics that are hard to talk about but you can always tell when something is wrong as her emotions affect how she acts.
As much as she hates this about her, she is known for jealousy. She is in touch with her emotions and finds this helps in the area of jealousy. She would get very jealous over some woman showing an interest in Ernie, but she does trust him enough not to worry. She hates how jealous she can get over certain things, and does her best to hide it. Another thing she dislikes is the fact she can be a gossip at times, it is something she does without really noticing she is doing.
Susan is known to strive for something if she really wants it. She looks forward to the challenge of getting to something she wants. As long as she is in a good mood she is full of energy and drive. She will work for things no matter how hard they are, as long as it is something she wants to do or just wants. Susan will work hard to better herself in areas she knows she can improve but if it is an area she might struggle in she needs a push to better herself.
As a leader or boss Susan is quite fair but not afraid to be stern when needed. Susan is extremely organized and focused on her job. She does leave her job at work when she returns home as she doesn’t want the pressures that might build up in her business to bother her at home.
History
Her name is Susan Annette Bones; the family chose those two names because of the family members that had such a large impact on the family. Annette Bones was Nathaniel’s mother the amazing woman who did just about everything for her children; she was a busy woman with a hard working husband to keep happy. Annette was a tough woman but sweet, she made sure the children had everything even though they were on a tight budget. Amelia Bones was Nathaniel’s eldest sister, she was a woman who was there for him during the death of his brother and parents; she seemed to deal better than he did even if she held it inside. Nathaniel loved his sister and he has kept her as a very close part of his family forever. Nathaniel has always said if he has a son he will name him Edgar Terrence Bones after his father Terrence and his brother Edgar.
The family was hard hit with tragedy, for what felt like forever, Edgar’s entire family was murdered by hand of Death Eaters, and Annette and Terrance met their end by the same fate. This was a healing wound on the family that would always remain; unfortunately the wound would re-open as the war started once more.
Nathaniel met Meredith Hepburn in school she was a year his junior. Despite the age, which was really nothing, they fell in love during school. The family thought it was all rather sudden, but they never rushed into anything. They were married two years after they left Hogwarts and later that year the deaths in the family started. The family was left with an empty whole needing to be filled, and Susan Bones was born. With Meredith’s parents and Amelia Bones at Meredith’s side she gave birth to a beautiful girl. The pregnancy had gone to term with no complications and she was about 6 pounds 13 ounces.
Susan’s grandparents doted as if it was going out of style, same with her parents and aunt. She grew up in the lime light of the family, the pride and joy. Her parents never had another child but they were fine with just Susan, she was a handful at times anyway. Susan liked to get into trouble as she was a curious girl always wanting to understand the environment around her. She loved to get into the plants and on countless occasions she was found covered in dirt looking at the leaves of a new plant the family got. Not only was the earth and flowers of interest to her so were the stars. She loved the nights when her parents and her went to the roof of their house and looked at the stars. Her father was an Astronomy lover, he loved to tell her stories of the stars and Susan just listened snuggled up between her two parents. This all happened in the good times of life, she was happy with little to disappoint her asides from the usual trivial subjects like not getting the toy she wanted or something just as silly.
Her dad started to teach her quidditch when she was six years old, he started to train her to be a seeker because he saw that she was very graceful upon her broom, and seemed to learn how to turn on a dime. She began to love quidditch enjoying every minute of it and relished in the stories of when her father was on the team.
When Susan started school she was sorted into Hufflepuff like her parents. She found a great home among the badgers, as well as a good group of friends. She wrote her parents weekly about the on going adventures, and any encounter with the great Harry Potter. She would return in the summer giddy to return to Hogwarts and awaiting quidditch try outs. Susan began to talk to her aunt more as she began to grow interested in her job she held as the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
The years went by at Hogwarts; she found a spot on the quidditch team as a chaser not to mention she found a niche in Herebology and Astronomy which was no surprise to her parents. Susan still wrote her parents but not as often, she was still happy and had her shy moments like any girl of her age. She saw boys as something not so disgusting and even grew a crush or two through the years. She would date around a bit but this would not be until fifth. In fifth year she even joined the Dumbledore’s Army willing to stand by Harry’s side as she understood what he was going through since her Aunt told her everything, as well as understand how he was feeling about the constant questions because ever since the Death Eater that killed Edgar and her grandparents escaped Azkaban she was asked questions. A lesser reason for joining the Dumbledore’s Army was because she wanted to see if Harry Potter could actually produce a patronus. She had hopes she could learn to produce one herself and she was pleased to find out it was all true and he could produce a patronus. She would later learn to produce one her self in the form of a badger.
The summer before sixth year Susan’s world was completely destroyed. Aunt Amelia was murdered; her friend, and mentor was now gone. She was crushed, she had her parents to help her through it, and she returned the favour to them. She would return to Hogwarts in the fall much to her parents’ argument, she wanted things to go as unchanged as possible, but her friends noticed the differences they sensed she wasn’t truly happy even if she acted like it. Susan just seemed sad, but it was long before she got back to her old self. She still missed her Aunt but she was sure Amelia wouldn’t want her dwelling on her death having her life slow to a standstill because of it. Susan was always a little unsure about her feelings towards death but was becoming more familiar with the concept and her emotions on the matter. It was not a moment too soon really as the war was coming.
Despite what happened that summer she tried to move on as normal as possible. She trained to apparate and was the entertainment for the first day when she spliched herself. This is not something that Susan has forgotten and still to this day apparating makes her nervous.
During her sixth year she became to look for people to be her rock and she found that in Ernie. He was there to help her with classes and just generally listen. She had already grown a crush on him in fourth year but she would and couldn’t ever tell him that. Susan just kept it bottled up inside as she was dreadful when it came to figuring out what to do with boys and was never one to make the first move. Still he was a great help to her and was one of the reasons she managed to make it through the year with as much sanity as she did.
The final war, or what Susan hoped to be the final war, came. She was enrolled in school and allowed to return thanks to her almost pureblood status. She did worry about her mother though since her mother was muggleborn. Meredith actually went into hiding living with her parents as people began being questioned about their magic. Susan almost wished she hadn’t been allowed to return to Hogwarts because it wasn’t the same. She feared for the welfare of her friends who were muggleborn as she had heard the horror stories of what they were doing. Susan just wanted to help out in any way she could.
When the final battle at Hogwarts came she didn’t fight, she made a point of making sure all the younger students got out of there. Susan was not afraid to fight, but she was more afraid of what would happen to the younger students if they stayed behind. Many times she has questioned this choice, wondered if things would have been better if she had stayed behind and if some of those that died would have been around if she had been there to fight. She hates to think about it and stopped dwelling on the ‘what ifs’ eventually, because she had saved and made sure of the safety of many of the younger students.
Susan returned after the battle to Hogwarts to see if her friend that stayed behind were okay and safe. For a few moments she couldn’t find Ernie and she had started to panic. Ernie had been the object of her secret affection for some time and the thought of having lost him made her grow anxious to find him. When she did find him she let her body react without much thought from her mind and that resulted in Susan kissing Ernie for the first time. This was how Ernie learnt of Susan’s affection and it was the beginning to their relationship. Susan has never looked back.
After the world settled from the war Susan felt it was time that she got herself a job, she wanted to do something with Herebology. She applied around at a few stores just so she could at least enter the workforce. As luck would have it an little old wizard by the name of Amadeus would hire her on a plant tender in his large Greenhouse. Amadeus was sole owner of Green Wands Greenhouses, one of the largest fresh plant suppliers. Susan was taken under Amadeus’ wing and was taught the ins and outs of the business. When she was twenty years old she would be made assistant manager, taking the early morning shift and was in charge of making sure the orders were ready for morning deliver and the early waking plants were tended too. She over saw the other plant tenders but she also participated. Her job made her very happy but so did her social life. Her life was Ernie was progressing and flourishing, and her friendships new and old were flourishing. Susan always made a valiant attempt to keep in contact with her friends from school.
When Susan was twenty-one she would move in with Ernie and their relationship was taken to a more serious level. Susan would begin to wonder if Ernie would ever ask her to marry him or if she would have to do it. Susan tired not to think about it really and figured things would happen on their own time. She did happen to confide in his sister Isobel that she hoped Ernie would one day ask her as Isobel and her had grown close during the time Ernie and Susan had been together. Susan always made an effort to connect with the family, especially after the slight rocky start she had because she wasn’t a pureblood. Susan knew it wouldn’t be an issue in the long run but the initial shock of the pureblood line coming to an end was understandable. Susan wasn’t going to let something so silly bother her or halt the love she had for Ernie.
Finally the day came when Ernie would propose and they were twenty-three. Susan of course accepted and started to imagine what their wedding would be like. With the help of her friends and family she planned the wedding of her dreams, a simple wedding in an orchard. The wedding was the summer after their twenty-fourth birthdays.
As time went on Susan was given more responsibility at work, and was almost running the place for the little old wizard who was thinking of finally retiring. Susan and Ernie were just so busy that they thought it best to put off having kids at least for a little bit. When Susan was twenty-six Ernie and her had another reason to wait for children because Ernie had purchased the greenhouse from Amadeus for Susan for their second anniversary and Susan enveloped him in a hug so tight. Finally her dream had come true she was owner of her own greenhouse. Both of them just felt it wasn’t the time for children but eventually the time would come.
Apparently at twenty-eight the time has come, it wasn’t planned but she recently found out she is pregnant, approximately two months. She has yet to tell Ernie this but she plans to soon she is just a bit nervous about it. What is your occupation? How do you go about it? How did you get your current occupation? How does your past and abilities justify your current skills?: Susan is the owner and manager of Green Wands Greenhouses Susan is at the Greenhouses every morning by 6am to make sure the morning assistant has prepared the orders correctly for delivery. She has a variety of duties being the owner and manager, such as keeping the finances in check and making sure the employees are paid. She is in charge of the hiring and unfortunately the firing. She makes meetings to meet potential new clients, and sometimes drops by current clients just to check up on them and see how they are enjoy the products and services. Susan tends to all the plants and is there for the arrival of new or unusual plants. She is the sole person who attends to the sick or unhealthy plants if that occurs. The greenhouse closes at about 1pm each day unless the deliveries have not finished or other complications have arisen. Sometimes Susan is found around after hours working on a few things. Susan was hired as a plant tender at age eighteen and was promoted to assistant manager and eventually would help in running the business before her husband bought her the Greenhouse as a wedding anniversary present from the previous owner. Susan graduated Hogwarts with O’s in Herebology and was mentored by Amadeus the previous owner of Green Wands Greenhouses. She has learnt a lot since she left Hogwarts being under his guidance and has refined her skill; she has even started to write a book on some of the plants she carries.
